F.R.I.E.N.D.S review - Why People Watch and Love It Even After 25 Years

It's been 25 years since the airing of the first episode of friends in 1994.

249 episodes and 10 seasons full of joy, the show never left us less amused.

It is a kind of show which will be loved by all at all times. The show will be there for us at all times, when you are in a happy mood, watch friends when you are sad, watch friends when you are feeling insecure watch friends. It will make us feel good in seconds.

There are many reasons why so many people like the show. In this article, I have discussed 5 reasons why I love watching friends again and again.

1. I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU

Starting from the title sing - I'll be there for you when the rain starts to pour... A friend's fan will never skip the intro song. You will start clapping and vibing to the song eventually after 2/3 episodes. It helped us get more into the show.

2. Bonding You Form With The Characters

The characters are very real and relatable to real-life people we see.

The show revolved around the lives of 6 main characters - Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, joey, and Pheobe. And When I said the characters are comparable to the real-life characters, I mean it.

Each of the characters had their strengths to impress the audience in any situation.

• Chandler Bing with his sarcastic commenting in any situation.

• Ross for the best reaction possible in any situation.

• Joey for the dumbest questions and his classic "How You Doing?".

• Rachel for impressing us with her fashion.

• Phoebe with her superstitial comments and her "smelly cat smelly cat why aren't they feeding you".

• Monica's " I KNOW".

There is always a character that you can relate to the people in your friend's group.

3. There is No One Single Main Character

One main advantage of the show is that it doesn't focus on one single main character, they used all the characters equally, in fact, even the screentime was nearly the same for them in all the episodes.

4. The Diversity It Had

Ross and Monica being a great sibling pair. They were talking to each other regarding their secrets, helping each other in tough times, etc...

The bromance friendship between joey and chandler is always the star of the show. We cried when joey moved out from chandler.

Adding to the glory, cameos by many great stars like Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Bruce wills in some special episodes were also included.

There are times when the show made you laugh so hard and also times when it made you cry from the heart.

Remember these scenes which made you cry?

• Pheobe saying goodbye to the siblings
• Monica proposing to chandler
• Chandlers speech about Monica wanting to have babies
• Chandler and joey stopped being roommates
• Ross and Rachel breakup

And also another positive of the show is that it had variety.

See the 3 female characters in the show.

• Pheobe had babies for her brother, even though she knew she can't keep them.
• Rachel became a single mom.
• Monica was not able to conceive and had to adopt a baby.

5. Everyone Had A Positive End

I mean, no one likes to see a show in which everyone dies. We like to watch stories with positive ending.

Ross a geek scientist who was struggling with his life due to his divorce and unable to find a true life ended up with his true high school love Rachel.

Rachel coming out of her sweet zone to live on her own in real life was able to find her passion for fashion and get a great job.

Chandler, a statistical analyst at the beginning of the show, who was not satisfied with what he is doing and not at all able to get any girls, ended up with his dream job and also got his dream wife, Monica.

Similarly in the case of Monica, who was also struggling at the starting to find her True love, found chandler.

Joey, an actor who was not even able to pay his bills at the start of the show to help Monica and chandler paying the rent with his improvement in this career.

Well, Phoebe never changed all along with the show. She was cute, happy, and funny from the start to the very end.

This made us all very happy, made us realize that sometimes will be bad, but all you need is a group of friends to whom we can openly talk about and hope that everything will get better one day or the other.
