Eddie Munson Is Still Alive!!!!

Stranger Things season 4 was fire!

Great writing, acting, and the surreal cinematography combined made it one of the most amazing things to watch ever! Netflix even crashed as viewers rushed to watch the last two episodes of the season.

Well, the ending was really anti-climatic. And that’s because this time around, Eleven and the team did not win against the evil they were fighting against as they always did in the previous seasons.

As selfish and as annoying as Papa was, he was right. Eleven was not ready to face Vecna - the villain of the season. And that’s core to why the team was defeated this time.

Even though they had some wins such as burning Vecna’s physical embodiment, they lost against him in the end. That’s because he intended to bring the Upside Down to Hawkins and he succeeded in this.

The kids might have won a few battles here and there, but they lost the war. At least so far.

Eddie is Dead

One of the worst things in the season though was the apparent death of Eddie Munson.

After a whole season of him being branded a murderer, he had been banished into the woods and had been hiding throughout, but his heroic act of trying to save Hawkins from the evil of Vecna led to his apparent death.

Is Eddie dead… Really?

I do not believe that Eddie the Banished is dead though! — hear me out.

Yes, we see Dustin holding him after he had been badly wounded by the Demobats. (Remember something similar happened to Steve and he was fine after and for the entire season!) And he seems to close his eyes as though slipping away.

We also see Dustin giving Eddie’s uncle the necklace and him trying to attempt some words of comfort.

But why didn’t we see the team mourning Eddie?

And did they leave his body in the Upside Down? Could they have done that really?

I do not believe that the team would do so. And that’s because they care too much about a member of the team for them to just leave his body in the Upside Down.

I mean, it could also be used by Vecna for evil…

Plus they had gone through so much already to clear his name, it would have been out of character for them to just abandon his body in the Upside Down.

Also, because that is most likely the gate (where Dustin and Eddie’s body was) they would have used to get back to the real Hawkins, I believe they would have helped Dustin to carry Eddie’s body back to Hawkins because of course it would have been too heavy for Dustin to carry all by himself.

Plus if worst came to worst, they would have asked Eleven for help with her powers just so that she could help bring Eddie’s body back to the real Hawkins.

I mean I did not see a body. And because I did not see a body, I do not believe that Eddie Munson is dead.

Also, only Dustin seemed to mourn Eddie.

Why don’t we see the rest of the team mourning him? And it also looked as though Dustin was kind of faking that mourning. Could be have been doing so to keep Eddie’s location under the wraps?

Plus what would be more important? What would bring more closure? Bringing back a necklace to Eddie’s uncle or bringing back a body?

I mean…

Cabin in the woods?

And again, at the end of the season, why was the team cleaning out the cabin in the woods?

Was it for Eleven to live there alone? Because at this point they did not even know that Hopper was alive….

They were not even trying to make it to standard and super liveable.

Were they clearing it out to create a secret hideout for themselves so that they could come up and work on a plan to defeat Vecna? Or were they creating a secret hiding spot for Eddie the Banished because he’s not dead and he is still a wanted man?

I am very hopeful that we are going to see Eddie in the next season of Stranger Things because he is not dead. No, he is not!

His character was super sweet and relatable. He was charismatic and strong yet vulnerable. And the actor is very handsome! We need to see more of him moving forward.
