Career

Daisy is very fond of dance, she used to work as a back dancer in a group. One day, Bollywood's famous choreographer Ganesh Acharya caught sight of her and advised her to join his dancing group. After that Daisy stayed in Ganesh's dancing group for two years, after which she started assisting him. Apart from this, she was also active in her modeling career. Meanwhile, she was offered the role of Kareena Kapoor's friend in the film Bodyguard, which she turned down. And went to South films.

After this, in the year 2014, she appeared in the Salman Khan starrer film Jai Ho. In this film, she played the character of a Gujarati girl. However, even after Salman Khan in this film, the films could not attract the audience.

After showing her acting prowess in Bollywood, now Daisy Shah is going to step into the digital world. According to the information, the actress is going to be seen in a web series named Lahora - The Kingdom. It is being directed by Shahid Kazmi. The series is inspired by the life of Rani Didda, daughter of King Simharaja of Lahore. Daisy will be seen in the lead role in this series as Rani.

Talking about his series, he said, “The story and the characters inspired me to take up this project. I was quite amazed by the way this woman changed things for women in that era.

Interestingly, Shahid was clear about his choice for the lead role. He was impressed with Daisy's action sequence in Race 3. The actress further added, "Shahid told me that I would have to do a lot of action sequences in the series and thought of casting me for the role after watching my performance in Race 3. I will have to work harder to learn sword fighting and horse riding and do action sequences.”

Talking about the series, Shahid said, “It is based on the life of Rani Didda. This story has fascinated me since childhood, as I am born and brought up in Kashmir. I grew up reading about him. I have been working on the script of this project for almost two years. Despite the challenges, I am confident that I will do justice to this project.

Talking about casting Daisy, he said, "I saw her perform some amazing action sequences in 'Race 3'. She was the first choice when I started working on the script. She was chosen to play the warrior princess. Perfect fit.Apart from Daisy, the series also stars Sara Khan, Arjun Manhas, Ray Parihar, Aarti Bhagat, Faizan Khan and Shoaib Nikesh Shah.It will be shot in Kashmir and Mumbai.The project will go on floors in the first week of April Filmy Wrap.
