Athena Kowari grew up as a happy child and knew only love and happiness that surrounded her, she knew the world could be cruel but never knew of the horror's it truly held, the pain and desperation that couldn't be seen by her innocent green eyes. She was loved dearly by her older brother, who resembled her father so much, his black spiky hair and dark brown eyes could lull any girl into a heated mess and that was before he had even smiled. Her father, a strong man that took care of his family in any way he could and provided not only the support to keep them financially going but the love they needed to feel like they could never break. Athena herself took after her mother, who was a wild card at heart but was studious and understood the need to protect and provide for her family. Her wavy brown hair and deep green eyes stole the breath of many who had seen her but she had her heart set on the man she now called her husband and with him she had brought into the world two beautiful and amazing children, who in return gave her the love she felt for them back to her.

Little did Athena know that in another world not too far disconnected form her own was a boy, a small boy with emerald colored eyes, forest green hair and hazelnut freckles littering his face that would change her life forever. Little did they both know of what was to come of them in the future but the little boy called Izuku Midoriya knew that his world was cruel, he had know from the early age of four how cruel it can be. He had been born into a world of superpowers or 'Quirks' as they were know but he himself had been born without one and was labeled Quirkless. Every since he could remember he wanted to be a hero. A hero that stood at the top and protected those around him from the dangers of villains and that of others. He wanted to be like his favorite hero in the world called All Might but knowing he was Quirkless had its toll on the young child and with it caused him to receded into himself. His childhood friend of many years had also started to bully him for being Quirkless. The feisty lad known as Katsuki Baukugo or Kacchan to Izuku, with his blond spiky hair and crimson red eyes had been his best friend until his own quirk manifested at the age of four and since then Izuku was in awe and admiration of the blond and followed him wherever he went. It was when they were in early school that the bullying became more and more sever until one day Izuku snapped and was once again determined to show the blond he had what it would take to be a hero even without a quirk. This only made the bullying continue but Izuku never let it affect him in the way Kacchan had wanted. He knew deep down that his childhood friend was just trying to keep him safe, but the way it was done did hurt and claw at him sometimes, especially when Kacchan had told him to throw himself of a building. These words from his once friends mouth pierced him deeply and once again his determination waned, that was until an encounter he could never forget changed him and sculpted his future in a way he never thought possible. All Might the hero he admired the most in the world would pass his quirk onto him, a quirk called All for One, a quirk that had allowed All Might to be the number one hero in the world for years was now residing inside Izuku's body. He gained entry into the most prestigious school in the country for Hero training and with his childhood friend by his side once again they began to learn what it truly meant to be Heroes.

Little did Izuku know that the girl in the other world was now suffering things that no one should every suffer, things that tore and bore themselves so deep into your soul that they became one with it and to remove them meant losing your soul to a darkness, a darkness so cold and harsh that none could survive. Athena's world was so different from the one Izuku inhabited, one where quirks made up 80% of the population. Her world quirks were rare, so rare that only 5% of population had them and those who did were subjugated to torture and tests that determined their use in the world. People in her world were scared of those with quirks and it soon became law that those with quirks who were determined to be harmful to those around should either be disposed of or used to fight to protect their county with little to no training or support. The quirks in her world didn't manifest at an early age like they did in Izuku's world but when the person turned 13.

13, a time when a child became a teenager were never celebrated as they were for Izuku, instead they were feared and each child who would turn 13 would be watched and monitored by the Authority, a special unit of the government to catch those with quirks and test their abilities under some of the most extreme and mind breaking situations, but with this Izuku turning 13 was a troubling time also, it was a time they would be officially tested for their sub gender or second gender.

Izuku's world was one where they were born with two genders, the first being that of male and female whilst the second was either Alpha, Beta or Omega. These sub genders would determine the instincts that a person has, what intelligence level they would possess and most importantly how powerful that person would become in the future. Alphas and Omegas only made up 40% of the population combined whilst the Beta's made up the rest and to the world being a Beta gave you the option to chose your own mate, your own partner. Alphas and Omegas did not have this choice, they could only have a family with each other. An Alpha would feel the need to claim their mate when they became of age and would subconsciously look for the scent that complemented their own, A search that Izuku would feel in the years to come, a search that left the Alpha on edge with the feeling of longing, a hole that could not be filled in any way, a search that would lead him to meeting the one person who he would spend the rest of his life protecting, no matter what happened to them. He knew the moment he was told he was an Alpha that his world wouldn't be the same again and with that he began his subconscious search for a person who was currently not part of his world. A search that would lead him to meet her in a situation he could not of expected. A situation that neither of them expect to meet in, a situation that changed them both.
