Synopsis for Episode 20 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. "Emancipation".

As of last night, the synopsis for the next episode of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." was posted in the press release for the series, unintentionally revealing the conclusion to "Captain America: Civil War". The synopsis doesn't give away too much information about the film, but on its own, the synopsis gives away the defining point of "Captain America: Civil War". The synopsis for "Emancipation", is as follows. Provided via MCUExchange.

“Emancipation” – With only two episodes left before S.H.I.E.L.D. loses one of their own, Daisy’s prophecy ticks closer towards a major loss, as the aftermath of the events of “Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War” force S.H.I.E.L.D. to register the Inhumans, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,”

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Clark Gregg as Director Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Agent Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Agent Daisy Johnson, Iain De Caestecker as Agent Leo Fitz, Elizabeth Henstridge as Agent Jemma Simmons, Nick Blood as Agent Lance Hunter, Adrianne Palicki as Agent Bobbi Morse, Henry Simmons as Agent Alphonso “Mack” MacKenzie and Luke Mitchell as Lincoln Campbell.

Guest starring are Axle Whitehead as James, John Hannah as Holden Radcliffe, Natalie Cordova-Buckley as Elena “Yo-Yo” Rodriguez, Adrian Pasdar as Brigadier General Glenn Talbot, Trevor Torseth as Pete Boggs, Jean Paul San Pedro as Jackson, Courtney Friel as newscaster and Jason Sweat as recruit #1.

“Emancipation” was written by Craig Titley and directed by Vincent Misiano.

Conclusion of Captain America: Civil War has been revealed.

Just from reading the synopsis, we can gather that Tony Stark/Iron Man has won the Civil War, and all 'enhanced' individuals in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are being required to register under the Sokovia Accords; including Inhumans. Nothing else can be confirmed but if the Inhumans are being required to register, than it's more than plausible that Agent Phil Coulson will have some words for Tony Stark when his team of Inhumans goes in to register. With that, it would mean an explanation would be in order for Phil Coulson to explain his time away from the Avengers since his apparent death in The Avengers (2012). Although, at the same time, Agent Coulson might have a contentious approach to Tony Stark, after learning of Stark's intent to enforce the Sokovia Accords on his team of Inhumans. But that also opens up the window of probability for the Clark Gregg to have at least a cameo in Captain America: Civil War when the Sokovia Accords are announced; that's all speculative for the moment. What we can definitively confirm is that Tony Stark/Iron Man is the winner of Civil War, which also means that Captain America is either in custody, or dead? For that aspect of the film, we're still in the dark about Steve Rogers' fate. Now we know that Iron Man has succeeded in Civil War, did his victory come at the cost of Steve Rogers/Captain America's life? We'll just have to wait until Captain America: Civil War premieres to find out.

Captain America: Civil War premieres worldwide on May 6, 2016. The final trailer for the film is embed below. For more information on Captain America: Civil War, see the following posts.
