Never Say Never Again

The song for this Bond film was the same as the movie title and sung by Lani Hall. It features on aging Bond by Sean Connery in 1983. It shows Bond making an uncharacteristic mistake during routine training. It makes M believe the legendary spy is past his prime. When SPECTRE member Fatima Bush portrayed by Barbara Carrera and her fellow terrorists successfully steal two nuclear missiles from the U.S. military M reinstates Bond to beat them at their own game.

View To a Kill

The song is the same as the title and sung by Duran Duran. Roger Moore returns as Bond and discovers that technology has the potential for sisnister applications. He is pitted against Max Zorin by Christopher Walken, the head of Zorin Industries. He finds himself fighting against Zorin’s Amazonian bodyguard, May Day by Grace Jones. They schemes to cause massive destruction so that all competition will be eliminated.

The Living Daylights

“The Living Daylights” came along in 1987 with the title song performed by a-ha. In this movie James Bond was played by Timothy Dalton. As Bond he helps KGB officer Georgi Koskov portrayed by Jeroen Krabbe defect during a symphony performance. While being debriefed Koskov reveals that a policy of assassinating defectors has been instated by new KGB head Leonid Pushkin played by John Rhys-Davies. His enemies consist of a shady American arms dealer played by Joe Don Baker and a pair of Russian assassins, Necros portrayed by Andreas Wisniewski and Kara Milovy by Maryam d’Abo.

License to Kill

This movie came out in 1989 with the title song sung by Gladys Knight. Timothy Dalton portrays Bond. Bond relinquishes his license to kill, disobeys orders, and goes on a mission of revenge when his best friend’s wife is killed by a drug baron. Bond flies to South America disguised as a hit man and is hired by the villainous drug dealer.

GoldenEye

The movie came out in 1995 with Tina Turner singing the title song. In this Bond movie Pierce Brosnan take on the title role again trying to save the world from an awesome space weapon that could destroy the earth. He fights against Xenia Onatopp by Farnke Janssen who uses pleasure as her ultimate weapon.

Tomorrow Never Dies

This movie was released in and the theme song is sung by Sheryl Crow. Bond portrayed by Pierce Brosnan is pitted against a media mogul Elliot Carver by Jonathan Pryce who want to have his news empire reach every country but gets nixed by the Chinese government. So he decides to fuel flames of war between the Western world and China, Bond to the rescue traveling to China and is aided by Chinese secret agent Wai Lin by Michelle Yeoh.

The World Is Not Enough

This movie came out in 1999 with the theme song being performed by American-Scottish alternative rock band Garbage. Once again Pierce Brosnan steps into Bond’s shoes and has to race against time to defuse an international power struggle with all the world’s oil supply hanging in the balance. He must protect the daughter of a murdered oil tycoon. The villain is Renard by Robert Carlyle with a bullet lodge in his brain not letting him feel pain.

Die Another Day

The title song is sung by Madonna. In this movie Pierce Brosnan as Bond is captured by North Korean agents and has to serve a grueling prison sentence, When released he believe his own agency betrayed him. Escaping from custody he travels to Cuba looking for Zao by Rick Yune who was the agent who put him in prison. He romances NSA agent Jinx by Halle Berry.

Skyfall

The title song is sung by Adele. Here Daniel Craig is Bond. The movie was released in 2012. Bond’s assignment goes terribly wrong and leads to a calamitous turn of events with undercover agents around the world exposed and M16 attacked. The agency must relocate. M turns to Bond who aided by a field agent takes to the shadow and follows a trail to Silva by Javier Bardem. He is a man from M’s past and wants to settle an old score.

SPECTRE

The song for this movie “Writing’s On the Wall” was sung by Sam Smith. In 2015 Daniel Craig as Bond heads for Mexico City and Rome to meet the beautiful widow by Monica Bellucci of an infamous criminal. Bond uncovers the existence of a sinister organization SPECTRE. In his ventures Bond discovers a chilling connection between him and his enemy by Christoph Waltz.
