BH90210 is not an ordinary reboot. Conceptually speaking, BH90210 takes the reboot idea and turns it on its head. Comparatively, because the main cast members are each playing an alternate reality version of themselves, the dynamic we see on screen between the characters is reminiscent of what we saw in Wes Craven’s New Nightmare. Subsequently, because of the nature of the reboot, it's better than the original series. It literally breathes new life into the reboot bandwagon.

Episode Synopsis: The PitchIMDb.com

When FOX greenlights a 90210 reboot, on the condition that seven of the original "Beverly Hills, 90210" cast members get on board, Tori and Jennie confront each of their former castmates and are met with more resistance than they had anticipated. Meanwhile, the gang deals with the repercussions of their actions in Las Vegas, Shannen gets a call from a friend and former "Beverly Hills, 90210" co-star Christine Elise pops back into their lives.

Getting the Band Back Together…

As we see in the latest episode of BH90210, getting the band back together proves more difficult than Tori Spelling initially thought. Tori and Jennie Garth approached Fox before confirming with any of the original Beverly Hills 90210 cast members that they were on board with the notion of rebooting their 1990s television series.

Network executives at Fox naturally thought that the entire cast was on board with the reboot. Consequently, because they would have pulled the rug from out under the entire venture, Tori and Jennie left the network executives thinking that everyone was willing to reprise their respective characters for the reboot.

Meanwhile, Kyler (Karis Cameron) seeks emancipation from her mother, Jennie, because she’s wanting to become an actor. After Jason Priestley visits with Jennie, because of a little parenting advice, she reverses course on not letting her daughter act.

Each of the cast members has their own condition they want Tori to adhere to before they will consider being on the reboot. Jason wants to direct the pilot episode, Brian Austin Green wants brand placement within the series, Gabrielle Carteris wants her character to explore her sexuality, Jennie wants her daughter on the show as a recurring character and Tori herself wants everyone to attend group theory.

What, with everyone getting what they want, could possibly go wrong?

When the Fox executives meet with the cast members, with the exception of Shannen Doherty, they inform the group Christine Elise has been brought on board as the production’s showrunner.

Elsewhere, Brian is auditioning for a comedy which will take him to Atlanta. But when he discovers his wife, Shay (La La Anthony), has been pulling strings behind his back, he isn’t happy. Brian wants to get acting gigs based on his own talent. He doesn’t want a gig if it comes from his wife’s influence.

Jason’s wife, Camille (Vanessa Lachey), is expecting a child. Is it Jason’s baby? After a visit to the hospital because of an on-set accident, Jason discovers from his doctor that he has a fertility problem. He can only get a woman pregnant with medical intervention.

As Jason concludes his call from the doctor, Jack Carlisle (Tahmoh Penikett) introduces himself to the actor as the new writer for the reboot. Little does Jason realise Camille is carrying Jack’s baby.

Unbeknownst to any of the original Beverly Hills 90210 cast members, they have a stalker. To get even closer to the cast, Zach (Ty Wood) applies for the position as Brian’s assistant.

In the closing seconds of the episode, each of the cast members receives a package containing a doll version of their respective 1990s character. Each of the dolls has been fashioned as a voodoo warning.
