1. La La Land

This Oscar-winning musical masterpiece stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone as a pianist and an actress chasing stardom and true love.

2. Silver Linings Playbook (2012)

With powerhouse stars and a story about love in the midst of crisis, it's no wonder this received a lot of Academy Award nominations when it came out in 2012. It was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress, though only Jennifer Lawrence came home with the award.

3. Her (2013)

Is it still a romance if half of the couple is not depicted on screen? Directed by Spike Jonze, Her follows a man (Joaquin Phoenix) who falls in love with his talking operating system (voiced by Scarlett Johansson). You'll never think about Siri the same way again.

4. You've Got Mail (1998)

Inspired by the classic, screwball The Shop Around the Corner, You've Got Mail has Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan playing people who are rival bookstore owners IRL, but fall for each other online. Nora Ephron wrote the screenplay with her sister Delia, so it has some of that When Harry Met Sally magic.

5. Phantom Thread (2017)

Daniel Day-Lewis and Vicky Krieps give astounding performances in this movie, which follows the ups and downs of long-term relationships (and how volatile those can be in a marriage with creative people). Day-Lewis plays fashion designer Reginald Woodcock, and you can be forgiven for assuming he's a veiled version of the director, Paul Thomas Anderson.

6. When Harry Met Sally

Can men and women ever really be just friends? It takes Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) 11 years to answer that question after meeting in college and reconnecting more than a decade later. Fun fact: When Harry Met Sally is one of Ree's favorite movies of all time!

7. The Vow

What happens when your soulmate suddenly forgets who you are? The Vow explores that idea that when a husband (Channing Tatum) must make his wife (Rachel McAdams) fall in love with him again after a tragic accident robs her of her memory.

8. A Star Is Born

There have been a number of takes on A Star Is Born over the years: the 1937 original with Janet Gaynor, the 1954 version with Judy Garland, and the 1976 remake with Barbra Streisand, to name a few. However, if you're looking to see Lady Gaga's chilling performance of "Shallow," definitely go for the most recent remake from 2018.

9. 10 Things I Hate About You

This cult-classic is actually a modern remake of Shakespeare's "Taming of the Shrew." Starring Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles, it will instantly transport you back to high school—without all the heartbreak and poor fashion choices!

10. Crazy, Stupid, Love

The star-studded cast and shocking twists in this hilarious rom-com make it worth watching over and over again. Is it even possible to get tired of Steve Carell?

11. Friends With Benefits

Jamie (Mila Kunis) and Dylan (Justin Timberlake), who have both been unlucky in love, decide to put their friendship to the test and take advantage of their mutual attraction to each other. They promise that emotions won't get involved—but everyone knows that's impossible.

12. How to Lose A Guy In 10 Days

It's the battle of the sexes in the quirky comedy about a man and woman who are both on a mission to get to the top of their career game. Unfortunately, neither of them realizes they're a pawn in the other's plan.
