Barbie will address the subject of feminism and how women are treated in society head-on because of the topics in Gerwig’s films. Suggested - Blind, Starring Sonam Kapoor, Is Now Available on Jio Cinema for streaming.

Early estimates indicate that Barbie will be far more successful than the Christopher Nolan-directed film, at least during the opening weekend in July 2023, even if the two films’ releases rarely impact one another (via Box Office Pro). We expect the Barbie movie to gross between $55 and $85, while Oppenheimer will to gross between $40 and $55 in its debut weekend.

Movie Cast & Crew

Everyone in the ensemble of the Barbie movie, from Margot Robbie’s Barbie and Ryan Gosling’s Ken to Michael Cera’s Alan and Will Ferrell’s President of Mattel, feels right in their assigned role. After Little Women in 2019, Barbie is Gerwig’s third film to take the director’s chair.

She co-wrote the film’s screenplay with her longtime lover and regular writing partner Noah Baumbach. Although the video clarifies that there are different Barbies in Barbie Land, it appears that Robbie’s Barbie is the original symbol herself. Robbie plays the title doll and leads the Barbie cast. Gosling is portraying the classic Ken, Barbie’s boyfriend, in the meanwhile.

Beyond Robbie and Gosling, Barbie has a hugely impressive cast. While Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Ritu Arya, Nicola Coughlan, Sharon Rooney, Anya Cruz Kanye, Kate McKinnon, and Hari Nef portray various Barbie characters, Issa Rae serves as Barbie Land’s president.

Ken is portrayed by Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Ncuti Gatwa in different roles. Character posters for Alan and Midge, played by Michael Cera and Emerald Fennell, respectively, were distributed. In the clip, Will Ferrell may also portray Mattel’s president in real life. Alongside Dua Lipa’s Mermaid Barbie, John Cena will play Merman Ken.
