Are you a fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender? Then I am nearly positive you're a fan of Uncle Iroh.

Not a fan, but randomly found yourself in this corner of the internet? Then prepare to fall in love with one of my favorite characters from Nickelodeon's Avatar: The Last Airbender series.

For some quick background, Uncle Iroh has a dark past, but with age has grown into a more understanding, peaceful, and tea-loving force for good.

I began watching Avatar in the middle of quarantine, and I found that Uncle Iroh's quotes really spoke to me. Many of them were wonderfully inspirational and loving.

So since everyone can use some more inspiration, love, and compassion in their life, let's continue with 9 of my absolute favorite Uncle Iroh quotes.

Let's get to it!

***Please note, I have slightly adjusted the wording for context.***

1. There is nothing wrong with letting people who love you help you.

Your loved ones want to see you happy and achieve your dreams. You are more loved than you will ever know, and your loved ones are always here for you.

We want to help BECAUSE we love you.

2. Are you so busy fighting that you can't see your own ship has set sail?

By getting caught up in the small dramas of life, we can miss the bigger opportunities that are right in front of us.

By spending less time on the drama, and more time being self-aware, we can see more clearly our goals and the paths towards these goals.

3. While it is always best to believe in oneself, a little help from others can be a great blessing.

Here is an important reminder that just because you can do it on your own, does not mean you HAVE to do it on your own.

We are stronger together, and together we can help each other to reach our full potential.

4. In the darkest times, hope is something you give yourself. That is the meaning of inner strength.

Inner strength is about standing back up more times than you've been knocked down.

You are capable of being your own light in moments of darkness, and there will always be those who love you and will help you along the way.

5. I believe people can change their lives if they want to. I believe in second chances.

The first step to changing is believing that we can. Our pasts are our pasts, but it is our desires and hopes in the present that really determine who we are.

Everyone is capable of positive change, and second chances can be a truly beautiful thing.

6. Look inward and start asking yourself the big question. Who are you? And what do you want?

Being self-aware and understanding what it is you really want out of life can open so many doors for positive change.

Asking ourselves who we are, and what we want, is the first big step towards achieving the life of our dreams.

7. Follow your passion, and life will reward you.

Be true to your authentic self, follow your passions, and life will reward you. Oftentimes, the more you love life, the more it will love you back.

Most of the time, what you are looking for is also looking for you too.

8. Sometimes life is like a dark tunnel. You can't always see the light at the end of the tunnel, but if you just keep moving, you will come to a better place.

Sometimes the only way to get through hell is to keep going. You may not always be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but that does not mean it is not there.

Keep going, and you will make it through.

9. Destiny is a funny thing. We never know how things are going to work out, but if you keep an open mind, and an open heart, I promise you will find your own destiny someday.

Life is full of many ups and downs. It can be very messy at times, yet as long as we keep pushing through, destiny has a way of finding us.
