Hello anime lovers, Today we're going to discuss the one of most famous anime and manga. Attack on Titan aka Shingeki no Kyojin. Before jumping into facts let's talk about the basic information, of the anime series.

Basic facts

Basic facts include its manga details, anime details, and other small things. Everything is mentioned below.

Hajime Isayama wrote the manga. First Isayama proposed this manga to Shueisha to publish his first one-shot manga in Shonen Magazine. But Shueisha rejected this manga due to its dark story. Then he went to Kodansha publication and they published it. The manga was released in September 2009. The manga will end on 9th April 2021.

The anime came in 2013 and still ongoing. The anime series has 4 seasons in total. Currently "Attack on Titan Final Season" is ongoing and it's the last season of this anime also.

Achievements

1. There are 2 movies, 3 live-action movies, and 13 games based on this show.

2. In 2014 Attack on Titan manga series breaks one punch manga sales and became the second-highest-grossing manga of the year.

3. Many Episodes also received 10 out of 10 in IMDb. For example (AOT Season 3 Episode 17).

7.Walls

The story consists of Paradis Island where humans live. You saw walls on the show. These walls protect humans from the titans. But do you know who named the walls and after whom? There are three walls out there. The first wall is "Wall-Rose" which is named after Dr. Rose. The second Wall is "Wall-Maria" name after "Dr. Maria" and the third wall is "Wall-Sina".

6.Eren's Dream

In this show, Eren's Dream was to explore the world outside the walls. Hajime Isayama was born in Hita, Oita, Japan. Which is also surrounded by mountains. So Isayama took the reference from his district and implemented it through walls.

5.Characters deaths

Isayama was going to kill all popular characters one by one. But after seeing the popularity and fans' sentiments, he decided to drop this idea just for now but he concluded that he will kill some characters in the future. Sha Sha was going to be killed in episode 27. But due to the editor's earnest request, Isayama let her live.

4.Story Inspiration

Isayama used to play video games in childhood. One day he played a game where aliens invade the universe. Isayama always wanted to replace aliens with the big monster. So he fulfilled his wish in his manga series.

3.Titan's body

Some Titan's body is inspired by real-life athletes. For example, Eren's titan body is inspired by an MMA fighter Yushin Okami. Whereas the armored titan is inspired by WWE superstar Brock Lesnar.

2.Titan's Shapes and height

Let's talk about the Titan sizes. The smallest has a height of 3 meters. Then comes the medium or common-sized Titans which are about 10 meters tall and then comes the huge titans with 15 meters of height. These big Titans are very powerful and big as well. Rather than that there are some abnormal titans, Wall Titans, colossal Titans, Armoured Titans, Attack Titans, beast Titans, and cart Titans. Of course, their other types of Titans as well which are not mentioned in the anime so I will follow it and won't mention them in the post as well.

1.Crossovers

Speaking crossovers, the attack on Titan appeared in avengers comics also. The comic issue was named "Attack on Avengers" where Titans attacks on Avengers. In the last moment of this chapter, we also saw Guardians Of The Galaxy appearance. We also saw this anime reference on Simpsons.

Final Words

Attack on Titan is a great anime. It has 4 seasons. The final season is being streamed right now. The manga will also end soon. It also received Kodansha awards as well. I'm sure people will miss this anime.
