The end of Arrow

I want to talk about how the last ever episode of arrow aired and how emotional it was considering the arrow is not necessarily known for being and emotional show. Arrow`s last episode aired on the 28th January 2020 and the director of the episode James Bamford did the hole 8 season justice. The episode was written by Marc Guggenheim and Beth Schwartz and they wrote the best possible ending that they could have done for arrow. Arrow has been on the CW network since 2012 this means the show has been running for 8 years, and the fans have loved every minute.

For 8 years we have watched all our favourite develop into the best parts of the characters themselves. We have seen Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) got through so many different times in his life but his friends and family have always been there for him. The one relationship that has been through it all in the last 8 years is the one between Oliver and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Richards). These two characters have been through a lot there have been through Oliver going to prison, Felicity being paralyzed, and even a world where Oliver was evil; through all of this hey have always found their way back to each other and they are absolute couple goals. In the last episode we final see Olive and Felicity reunited in the afterlife.

One other relationship I want to talk about is the one between Oliver and John Diggle (David Ramsey) the friendship and brother hood between these 2 characters is one of the best ever, as not only were they best friends, but they were brothers. At the end of the final episode from John spoke at Oliver funeral he said to everyone that Oliver wasn`t just his friend his was his brother. John and Oliver have also been through a lot is the last 8 years. During the episode John also had to shut down the arrow cave and with the help of the Black Canary (Juliana Harkavy) and Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez). At the end of the episode we see all the characters go they own ways and it is problem one of the most heart-breaking moments in the whole 8 seasons.

The last relationship I want to talk about is the one between Oliver and Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) this relationship is one of the greatest relationships of the arrow verse ever. The relationship between the pair is a mentor- menti situation, ever since Oliver shoot Barry in the back when he was helping his train. Barry was the one was convinced Oliver to help him and team flash in the first place, if this didn`t happen then I am not sure that Oliver and Barry would have ever become as good as friends as they did. When ever Barry need help with a criminal Felicity then it would be Oliver and no matter when Oliver helped Barry, he would always learn something from Oliver even if he didn`t want to. Even when Barry went off the rales Oliver was there to help he out and stop him from doing something he regretted. One of the best parts of these 2 being friends was when Barry went to takedown the reverse flash, and Oliver was there to help even when he was going through something of his own. At this point Oliver turns to Barry and says that he may need a favour one day he may need a favour from Barry, Barry turns to him and says where ever when ever and Barry truly meant this. Over the course of the next 8 seasons we see the dynamic of their relationship change for the better. Barry and Oliver are always there for each other.

When Oliver first started being the Arrow, he was only in trying to make a difference in Star City, but now we have a whole group of heroes defending the city. Oliver has inspired a lot of people to carry on with the work that we are doing.

Stephen Amell has put so much into the charter of Oliver Queen, and we the fans thank him for that. The fans will never forget him as the Arrow, he is not only leaving us with the brilliant character but an amazing universe. The Arrow verse with never be the same without Stephen in it, but we now pass the baton on to Grant Gustin to lead the way for the Arrowverse. Not only have we got the Flash we now have Supergirl, Black Lightning, Batwomen and Legends of Tomorrow, and these will never replace Arrow, but they will help the fans be able to remember what Stephen help has built over the past 8 years.
