Elijah Wood is an American actor, producer and DJ who is best known for playing Frodo Baggins in The Lord of The Rings movie trilogy and in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

He was born on January 28 1981 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Elijah Wood made his film debut with a minor part in Back to the Future Part II (1989) when he was only seven years old. Throughout his career in the film industry which started when he was nine years old, he became a critically acclaimed actor who was nominated for several Young Artists Awards. A few of the other movies that he starred in as a child and teenager were Radio Flyer (1992), Forever Young (1992), The Good Son (1993), North (1994), Flipper (1996), The Ice Storm (1997) , Deep Impact (1998) and The Faculty (1998).
