Aemond Targaryen is the Best Villain in House of the Dragons
Aemond is by far the most fascinating villain of the show.

While the entire Hightower family are all complete bastards who didn't hesitate to backstab the king's final wish, I feel that Aemond truly embraces himself as a villain. Out of everyone in his family, Aemond is the most intelligent, who actually has a great plan on how to take down his half-sister who is the true heir to the Iron Throne.
I'm barely on season 2 of the television show, and Aemond has proven himself to the be the most cunning out of his family members.
And what's crazy is that I definitely picture Aemond to be the last one standing, and I think he is willing to murder his entire family to ensure his rule will always stay strong. After watching the latest episode of episode 4 in season 2, I think that Aemond does not give a damn about his family for crap.
Aemond burned his own brother, the king, during a planned battle.
Episode 4 in season 2 featured the most exciting battle in the show so far. The king, Aegon, who had taken the throne instead, decided to venture into battle after his mother called him weak. He decides to head to join a planned battle that Aemond and a knight had conducted, but they were not aware of Aegon's arrival, until it was too late.
This battle ensured that the Hightowers would be able to take away another kingdom/ally from the princess, the main character who was meant to take the Iron Throne. She had sent one of her best warriors to stop the battle, but she was not expecting either Aegon or Aemond to be there.
Aegon and this warrior start to fight, but then Aemond arrives on his dragon named Vhagar, which is considered to be the biggest dragon in the show. Without hesitation, Aemond straight up burns his brother and attacks his dragon and then continues the battle with the warrior. She ends up staying for the rest of the fight, because she refuses to stay down. She is unfortunately killed by Vhagar and Aemond, dying a true warrior.
Then Aemond proceeded to go back to his fallen brother and dragon, about to finish off Aegon. Cole, the knight that had been working together with Aemond behind the king's back, caught him about to murder Aegon. Aemond gave up when he spotted Cole, and decided to leave him alive, not appearing to give a damn that his brother was going to suffer for the long run.
I can't believe how evil this was, but at the same time, I can't help but like Aemond. At least he is a true villain at heart, minus his other family members or allies who struggle to handle their true evil natures.
Aemond never let go of his rivalry with his half-sister's son for cutting out his eye.
When Aemond was a boy, he had gotten into a pretty bad scuffle with one of his half-sister's children, and his eye was removed in self-defense. Alicent, his mother, was outraged by this, and attempted to demand her friend remove the eye of the boy who cut out her own son's eye. I wouldn't doubt that witnessing his mother's anger led to Aemond's hatred of this kid.
What really surprised me is that he actually had a heart for this kid, minus his own brother that he didn't hesitate to burn. He does end up killing this kid by accident years later, but the fact that he felt bad about what he did was pretty shocking.
I guess Aemond does have a heart to a point, but from the looks of it, he definitely lacks it for his own family members.
