May their souls rest in perfect peace.

2020 is finally rounding down and as horrible as the year was to so many people, certain people got the absolute worst end of the stick. Death is always horrible news to hear and as the year rounds down, I want to take the time to remember 50 Nigerian Celebrities who unfortunately left us this year.

Everybody on this list is so beloved and I hope that their gentle spirits rest in perfect peace.

2. Majek Fashek

Legendary Reggae singer Majek Fashek died after a long battle with cancer on June 1st, 2020.

3. Dan Foster

Cool FM radio host, Dan Foster died on June 17 after allegedly contracting COVID-19.

4. Ibudun Ighodalo

Former beauty queen, Ibudun Ighodalo, died on June 14th, 2020 after a reported cardiac arrest.

5. Ogun Majek

Nollywood actor Ogun Majek died on June 25th 2020 after battling an unnamed ailment for many months.

6. Bose Adewoyin

Nollywood actress Bose Adewoyin died on June 23rd 2020 and was buried on the same day of her death.

7. Berkley Ike Jones

Nigerian guitarist Berkley Ike Jones died on June 28th just weeks to his 72nd birthday

8. Yusuf Satia

Yoruba actor Yusuf Satia was also reported dead on the 21st of July, 2020.

9. Iya Jogbo

MAX Fm presenter Iya Jogbo died on July 24th 2020 after a brief illness from Bronchitis and an enlarged heart

10. John Felagha

Former goalkeeper of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, John Felagha died on August 30th 2020 at the very young age of just 26.

11. Biglo

Music producer, rapper and singer, Lotanna Udezue aka Biglo died on December 26th, 2020 after a long battle with kidney disease.

12. Oluwaseun Kobbe

Nigerian singer, Olatosi Adekolu Oluwaseun died on December 10th, 2020 after a brief illness

13. J.P. Clark

Renowned Nigerian poet, Prof. John Pepper Clark died on October 13th, 2020 at the age of 85.

14. Tunbosun Shadare

Tunbosun Shadare, an OAP with Rhythm FM Lagos died on September 10, 2020 after a brief illness.

15. Prof. Ayobami Akinwale

Nollywood actor, Professor Ayobami Akinwale died on September 13th, 2020 after a brief illness.

16. Frank Dallas

Nollywood actor, Frank Dallas died on February 19, 2020 while attending a summit.

17. Femi Oyewumi

Nollywood actor, Prince Femi Oyewumi aka Latidi died on May 22, 2020 after being rushed to the hospital.

18. Patience Oseni

Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Oseni died on February 17, 2020.

Female lead vocalist of popular singing group, Veentage band, Ejiro Emokinovo died on March 5th, 2020 after an unsuccessful surgery.

A former minister of State for Education, Professor Jerry Agada died on December 22nd, 2020 afer a brief illness.

28. Prince Morroco Maduka

Veteran singer, Prince Morroco Maduka died on October 29th, 2020.

29. Wasiu Ajani Tekoye

Fuji singer, Alhaji Wasiu Ajani Tekoye aka Pure Water died on May 14, 2020

30. Ubong King

Popular Nigerian public speaker, Ubong King died on December 26th, 2020 after a battle with COVID-19

38. Sheikh Lemu

Renowned Islamic cleric, educationist and former Sharia court judge, Dr. Sheikh Ahmed died on December 24th

39. Albert Okumagba

Popular economist, stockbroker, capital market operator, and investment expert, Albert Okumagba died on November 19, 2020

40. Victor Olaiya

47. Ogiame Ikenwoli

The Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Ikenwoli died on December 12 at the age of 65.

49. Harry Akande

Billionaire businessman and father-in-law of actress, Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Harry Akande died on December 5, 2020 after a brief illness.

Former presidential candidate of the National Action Council (NAC), Olapade Agoro died on November 1st, 2020 after taking ill for three weeks.
