3 Reasons Why I'm Not Excited for Avengers: Doomsday
Marvel has dug themselves a giant hole for their own franchise...

The new Avengers: Doomsday trailer has finally arrived, and I'm feeling so underwhelmed for this new film. I recognize a lot of the old school cast members from the old Marvel films, including a new set of faces who have been added into the franchise.
This should be huge news for the franchise, but Marvel has fallen into a rabbit hole that has ended pretty badly for the Marvel franchise. This franchise has decided to keep on adding in multiple television shows and films that require fans to watch every single one, so that they can understand just what the hell is going on with the storyline.
The old Marvel was a complete masterpiece, and it gave fans such an entertaining and dark superhero universe.
Now the new Marvel is filled with forced humor and way too many multiverse storylines that have become extremely overrated.
And guess what the Doomsday movie is going to be about?
We are once again getting a Multiverse storyline.
The old and new Marvel characters are now going to team up to try and save the multiverse from Doctor Doom. Once I heard about this, my interest immediately dwindled. Why is Marvel not giving up on the stupid Multiverse crap? It has been so overdone, and of course, they can't seem to let go of this same old storyline. It's like the franchise is stuck, and they can't seem to escape from their own awful ideas.
Robert Downey Jr. is playing Doctor Doom...who played Iron Man.
Why bring back an actor whose character died in the old Marvel? This truly is coming off as desperation, and I get why they decided to share this reveal so early. They were probably worried about the backlash they could get if they waited for the reveal a bit too later, but some fans were upset anyway over this. I know that they are doing this because of the Multiverse theory, and it's not exciting at all. If they had gotten a different actor to play Doctor Doom, it still would have worked.
Will they actually keep characters dead, or like always, will they find a way to bring them back from the dead?
This has been such an annoying trope in the Marvel films. While I'm all for a happy ending, I feel that the new Marvel is afraid to kill any of the good guys off. What I mean by this is, I have a feeling that they will kill people but find a way to bring them back. If Marvel wants their new Marvel to work, then they better kill them off, and keep them dead.
I did enjoy Marvel's Endgame, but deep down, I kind of did want a lot more superhero deaths. I'm tired of people finding a way to bring their friends back from the dead trope, we need full on brutality for the next Marvel films.
I feel if Marvel does this, then they might have a chance to save their new Marvel franchise, because this time around, the plot armor will no longer be noticeable. And perhaps that will be enough for Marvel fans to actually take an interest in their franchise again.
I truly hope that Marvel will finally be heading back to its old roots, because I'm so tired of the direction the franchise has fallen into. DC also did the same thing, but even they could be heading in the right direction finally, after the new Clayface trailer was released.
We need something fresh and original, and hopefully Doomsday will be the one to save the franchise.
Hopefully this will be the best Multiverse storyline of all time, because my excitement for Marvel has completely disappeared.
This film will either bury the franchise further, or we are going to get a masterpiece.
Hopefully.
