If you just got Disney+ then I'm sure all the endless content is probably overwhelming. Don't worry, I am here to help. Here are 12 recommendations of what to watch next on Disney+. There is something here for everyone and few more unique recommendations for those who have already been streaming and may need a new show to watch on Disney+.
1. The Simpsons
"The satiric adventures of a working-class family in the misfit city of Springfield." -IMDb
I was wondering when a streaming site would finally get a deal with The Simpsons and now Disney+ has it all. Really, every season but the current one is on Disney+.
2. The Mandalorian
"The travails of a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy, far from the authority of the New Republic." -IMDb
The Mandalorian is all the buzz right now. If you don't want to feel left out you might want to check out this new Disney+ Original. It already has a score of 9.1/10 on IMDb.
3. The Emperor's New Groove
"Emperor Kuzco is turned into a llama by his ex-administrator Yzma, and must now regain his throne with the help of Pacha, the gentle llama herder." -IMDb
This is a movie that almost every loves. It's not a musical and doesn't overdo the whole cute animal aspect. The Emperor's New Groove 7.3/10 on IMDb and an 83% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
4. Secretariat
"Penny Chenery Tweedy and colleagues guide her long-shot but precocious stallion to set, in 1973, the unbeaten record for winning the Triple Crown." -IMDb
5. Kim Possible
"A high school cheerleader and her accident-prone best friend balance their duties as global crime-fighters with the typical challenges of adolescence." -IMDb
6. Queen of Katwe
"A Ugandan girl sees her world rapidly change after being introduced to the game of chess." -IMDb
Queen of Katwe has some impressive ratings. Including a 7.4/10 on IMDb and a 93% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.
7. Captain America: Civil War
"Political involvement in the Avengers' affairs causes a rift between Captain America and Iron Man." -IMDb
The Marvel movies are on Prime and I did miss a few, so this works out for me. Captain America: Civil War has a 91% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes.
8. 101 Dalmatians (1961)
"When a litter of Dalmatian puppies are abducted by the minions of Cruella de Vil, the parents must find them before she uses them for a diabolical fashion statement." - IMDb
The 1996 live action version is also available on Disney+.
9. Lady and the Tramp (2019)
"CGI re-imagining of the 1955 Disney classic." -IMDb
The 1955 version of Lady and the Tramp is also on Disney+. They are fun to compare with each other.
10. DuckTales (1987)
"The globe-trotting treasure-hunting money-making adventures of billionaire Scrooge McDuck and his nephews." -IMDb
DuckTales has a great score of 8.1/10 on IMDb.
11. Flight of the Navigator (1986)
"In 1978, a boy travels 8 years into the future and has an adventure with an intelligent, wisecracking alien ship." -IMDb
Flight of the Navigator has a great critic score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes.
12. Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)
"A toon-hating detective is a cartoon rabbit's only hope to prove his innocence when he is accused of murder." -IMDb
Who Framed Roger Rabbit is a classic with amazing reviews including a 97% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 4/5 on Common Sense Media.
