Peaky Blinders. A television drama about a real gang from Birmingham, England, in the early 1900s. This drama is based on a real gang, that was called The Peaky Blinders, because they sewed razors into the peaks of their hats, which they would use as weapons when it came time to fight. The television show is not a true story. The infamous Peaky Blinders is led by the frontman, Thomas/Tommy Shelby, played by Cillian Murphy. Taking place after the first World War, Thomas is followed by his brothers Jon (Joe Cole) and Arthur (Paul Anderson), and they are joined by their Aunt Polly (Helen McCory) and her son Michael (Finn Cole). This gang are bookies, obsessed with their whiskey, knowledgeable on horses, wanted by women, and feared by the general public.

The first season introduces The Peaky Blinders. Who they are, what they do, what they stand for and who they are fighting against. The villain, or antagonist is a special officer (Sam Neill), that has been sent to Birmingham, to get a handle on The Peaky Blinders. Brought with him is an undercover cop, that infiltrates the gang, played by Annabelle Wallis.

The second season, The Peaky Blinders have gotten a little bigger and badder. So it's only fitting to bring in Alfie Solomons (Tom Hardy), a leader of a rival gang. Tommy and Alfie go head to head in this season.

The third season shows just how vile clergymen can actually be. A conniving priest involved with Russian gangs, gives The Peaky Blinders a run for their money. Tommy gets the gang in hot water, and makes it hard to get out.

The fourth season brings in the American/Italian mafia. It becomes a battle for who really is the most sinister. This season is the best season in my opinion. Each episode leaves you in so much love and hate for every single character and it puts you through a whirlwind of emotions.

Season five is still a mystery. Hopefully coming soon in the summer of 2019.

Each season brings in a villain so vindictive, you can't help but cheer for Tommy and his gang, even if they do break a few laws. With every season only containing six episodes, Peaky Blinders leaves you craving more. Only six hours of an extremely detailed storyline, will leave your heart beating out of your chest.

Each episode out does the previous one. The same can be said about each season. Every episode snowballs, until the end smacks you in the face, with something you never saw coming.
