10. Pacific Palisades Mansion #1

The first of the now sold homes that sit side by side each other in Pacific Palisades, California, this home sold for a whopping $9.25 million dollars.

Hanks and Wilson acquired the first property during a transaction in 2003 and it is a Spanish-style villa that was once owned by late screenwriter and film director Frank Pierson.

Built in 1933 this amazing home covers 4,000-square-feet of space and the house features beamed ceilings, wood floors and original fixtures with ironwork and tile.

Other features include a living room, a paneled dining room, a library/den, four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms and massive gardens.

9. Typewriter Collection

If its not art these high profile celebrities are collecting in Hollywood, its something stranger, and you cant get more stranger than Tom Hanks collection of old typewriters.

The movie star currently has around 250 different typewriters in his massive collection and its thought over 90% of them are in perfect working order.

While the Forest Gump star does not have one single favorite typewriter, he does have some favorites including a green Hermes and Olivetti Lettera 22’s.

He revealed that he often uses his typewriters to create memos, shopping lists and reminders and was once spotted at Typewriters.com picking up a 1970s Smith Corona.

The second of the homes which sit side by side each other in California, this home, built in English Traditional style in 1957, has 7,300 square feet of living space.

Features include a screening room and a pub/billiard room with a fireplace while the master suite has his and hers closets and a renovated bathroom.

Overall the home has a total of seven bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms and the house comes with a playroom located on the third floor.

With panoramic canyon views, a stunning herb garden and large relaxation area its understood this home went for slightly less than the other one at $8.75 million dollars.

Hanks wears only one type of watch, Rolex and he is a Rolex mega-fan, owning four of the watches from the worlds most prestigious watch-maker.

The Sea-Dweller, is made for extreme diving and has a water resistance of up to 4,000 feet, great for those diving holidays and underwater exploring.

The watch has a ruggedly handsome look, costs around $12,840 dollars and is made of stainless steel.

The watch first began production in 2014 and features chronometer self-winding movement, Stainless steel oyster case and a black dial with white luminous inlay hands and hour markers.

Located within walking distance to shopping areas, and about 1.1 miles from the ferry to San Francisco, this piece of floating history is was was built in 1973.

The 1,152-square-foot home was on the market for just over $840,000 dollars and features two bedrooms, one-and-a-half bathrooms, and a top floor living room and kitchen.

Hanks said he lived on the Alameda between 1973 and 1976 while his father owned the boat, which later passed to him.

The blue and white colored abode has a fantastic wooden interior, however we are pretty sure it would not be the stars kind of abode these days!

5. Rolex Explorer I

Described as one of the originals of its time, the Rolex Explorer I is a straightforward and well-built watch with a famous history of exploration.

The watch features a stainless steel construction, minimalist features and was created in 1953 after the first successful ascent of Everest.

Made in Switzerland, these watches are carved from a block of 904L stainless steel to withstand extreme conditions and have been tested in the toughest of places.

The third watch in the collection of Tom Hanks, his Rolex Milgauss magnetic has a resistance of up to 1,000 Gauss, it was built with scientists in mind.

Costing close to $8,000 dollars his Milgauss features scratch resistant green crystal on the inner bezel and has a Stainless steel case.

The watch comes with an amazing lightning shaped orange hand and even the 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions are colored orange.

2. Omega Speed-master

The final watch in the collection of Tom Hanks is an Omega Speed-master, which he originally wore for his role as NASA astronaut Jim Lovell, in Apollo 13.

The watch played a part in saving the lives of the astronauts in real life and the watch is still worn by both Tom and NASA Astronauts to this day.

Prices are not cheap and come in at around $4000 per watch and feature Hesitate crystal, lack dial with indexes and engine-turned sub-dials.

Another strange car on the list is a 1974 Fiat 126P which Hanks spotted while he was touring Europe and located in Budapest, he took a picture with the car and a fan later raised enough money to buy it and deliver it to him on his Birthday.

Hanks owns some more modern cars, including a Mercedes-Benz S-Class worth close to $100,000 dollars and both a Chevrolet Tahoe and Toyota RAV4E.

Saving the earth one step at a time, the final car in the collection of Tom is his Toyota Prius, which he has been seen driving around LA in, total cost you may ask, a mere $27,000 dollars.
