10. Tottenham Hotspur

After a take-over battle with Robert Maxwell, Sugar teamed up with Terry Venables and bought Tottenham Hotspur football club in June 1991.

He was an unpopular figure among the Spurs fans, mainly because he was accused of treating the venture as more of a business than a football club.

Sugar sacked Venables the night before the 1993 FA Cup Final, a decision which led to Venables appealing to the high courts for reinstatement, which Sir Alan later won.

In February 2001, Sir Alan Sugar sold his majority stake at Tottenham to leisure group ENIC, selling 27 percent of the club for £22 million.

In June 2007, Sugar sold his 12 percent remaining shares to ENIC for £25 million, ending his 16-year association with the club, later saying it was a waste of his life.

9. Lady A. Super-Yacht

Being sold on the market last summer for €14 million after the stunning craft underwent a year-long refit, this 181-foot vessel was first put on sale in the summer of 2017.

Re-fit work has included an extension to the aft end of the upper deck, a redesigned and refitted interior, new paintwork and the installation of zero speed stabilizers.

The yacht was first launched in 1986 and was built in Japan by Nishii Zosen-Sterling for the Australian tycoon, Alan Bond, who named the vessel Southern Cross.

There is an impressive sundeck, with its use of glass and spectacular views, vast sunbathing areas, a seated bar, Jacuzzi, and sun awnings along with two, more private, lounges at the foredeck.

Up to 12 guests can stay on board in six plush en suite cabins and on the lower deck is the full beam owner’s cabin, with a private study, its own Jacuzzi, separate shower room and dressing room.

8. Florida Home

Located at 434 South Maya Palm Drive in Boca Raton, Palm Beach, Florida, this home was purchased by Sir Alan and his wife, who paid $1.585 million for the 0.67-acre property in 1999.

Although the mailing address matched the other address where he lives, Chigwell, Essex in the United Kingdom, this house is a far cry from the rain and wind seen in the UK.

It features eight bathrooms, 11 bathrooms and also includes a fountain, pool, and elevator along with a private dock and swimming pool.

The Sugars sold the waterfront 13,623-square-foot home for a sweet $6.8 million a few years back.

7. Private Jet

Private air travel is one of Sir Alan Sugar's favorite past-times and his £18.5 million pounds Embraer Legacy 650 private jet lets him indulge to his heart's content.

The jet has the capacity to seat up to 13 passengers and Sir Alan, who has a pilot’s license, uses the jet for the 300 hours of business flying he does each year.

The jet is kept in a hangar at Stansted Airport and features three cabin areas, a large bathroom, as well as high-speed broadband while in the air, leather chairs and a state-of-the-art entertainment system.

The plane has a maximum range of 4,466 miles, a maximum cruising speed of 502 mph and a service ceiling of 41,000 feet.

6. Business Letting Empire

Sir Alan is not the sort of businessman to own just a few mansions, he also owns several high profile commercial properties that are let to organizations through his company AMSprop.

One of these mammoth properties is The Crosspoint building on Liverpool St in London which is undergoing a major redevelopment.

Overall, AMSprop has around 47 commercial and residential properties at its disposal with profits from the property empire coming in over £185 million pounds.

Sir Alan rents property to major banking institutions and other commercial giants such as Barclays, HSBC, Hard Rock Cafe, Costa Coffee, and hotel chain Premier Inn.

5. Rolls Royce Phantom 8

The famous car that Sir Alan was always seen in on the Apprentice is actually a Rolls Royce Phantom 8, worth around £360,000 pounds.

The Phantom was unveiled by live-stream on July 27, 2017 and made its public debut at a special exhibition Rolls-Royce held in London two days later on July 29.

Its the first Rolls-Royce to be fitted with four-wheel steering where the system turns the rear wheels counter to the front wheels through a maximum of three degrees at speeds lower than 60 km/h (37 mph)

The car uses "Silent-Seal" tires which Rolls-Royce co-developed with Continental and feature a layer of foam inside the tire to reduce tire cavity noise, which lowers sound levels in the cabin by up to nine decibels

It comes with a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 engine, 8-speed automatic transmission, a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) and a 0-100km/h speed of 5.3 seconds.

4. Marbella Estate

€11 million has been accepted on the amazing six-bedroom home once owned by Sir Alan which he spent €1 million on the construction of at the turn of the millennium.

The three-story villa features a 200 square meter underground car park, pool, and gymnasium with access to the beach and one of Marbella’s top tennis clubs.

The home is close to the Sierra Blanca Mountains, sandy Mediterranean beaches, villas, hotels, golf courses, prestigious nightclubs, and coastal bars.

3. Watch Collection

Sir Alan Sugar is well known for his impressive watch collection of luxury and designer watches from some of the biggest brands in the world.

Many of the watches in this collection have appeared on his wrist during televised series of The Apprentice and include Rolex, Cartier, and Breitling.

He was known to wear a different watch each week and some of the popular models include a yellow Gold Rolex Yacht-Master II, valued at £28,150 and his Cartier Tortue Watch with 18K white gold.

He also owns the worlds thinnest mechanical watch named the Altiplano 900P which is valued at £24,700.

His favorite brand of watch is clearly the Rolex, with him owning close to £120,000 worth of the brand's watches, and that's just the ones we see on TV!

2. Essex Mansion

Sir Alan's Mansion in Essex is where the star of The Apprentice currently lives, and it was built in 1908 and boasts a library, orangery, and a drawing room.

Sir Alan has more recently submitted plans to have the main house demolished as he wants to build two new, more modern, houses on the site.

The first of the proposed new homes will boast a family room, library, orangery, study, and drawing room while the other will include three master rooms and a courtyard.

It's thought the 300-year-old walled garden will be restored completely by hand to avoid bringing heavy machine tools onto the site.

1. Amstrad

Amstrad was founded in 1968 by Alan Sugar at the age of 21 with the name a contraction of Alan Michael Sugar Trading.

During the late 1980s, Amstrad had a substantial share of the PC market in the UK and was once an FTSE 100 Index constituent.

During the 1970s they were at the forefront of low-priced hi-fi, TV and car stereo cassette technologies, but later the Amstrad series of personal microcomputers became a real hit.

In 1986, Amstrad entered the IBM PC-compatible arena with the PC1512 system and its second generation of PCs. The PC2000 series, were launched in 1989.

In 1990, Amstrad tried to enter the video game console market with the Amstrad GX4000, similar to what Commodore did at the same time with the C64 GS.

One of the most popular devices was a combined telephony and e-mail device called the E-m@iler which was followed by the E-m@iler Plus in 2002, and the E3 Videophone in 2004.

In July 2007, BSkyB announced a takeover of Amstrad for £125 million and it was announced on July 2, 2008, that Sugar had stepped down as Chairman of Amstrad
