It's no secret that the Netflix platform has recently become the most popular in 2021. Maybe because of the pandemic or just because there you really find a lot of movies, wonderful series and new ones.

Well, i spend a lot of time looking for something really good on Netflix and being critical of movies, i created this list of movies that will leave you with emotions for life.

So, let's begin!

10. THE PLATFORM 2019, (SCI-FI/MYSTERY): Emilio Buale, Ivan Massague are not very famous actors (at least for me) but this movie is definitely a masterpiece for the people who love thrillers. Is certain one of the best horror movies of 2020. A must-see feat of production design, score, performance, and high-concept execution that will likely leave your stomach extremely unsettled- and in this movie's case, that's a compliment. The Platform is seriously messed up, frightening and hold a big message for society, essentially a message about the uneven distribution of resources shown in a very blow up way.

9. THE OLD GUARD, 10 July 2020 (FANTASY/ACTION) : has the benefit of not carrying the strict, fan-driven baggage of the Marvel and DC movies. As a result, it may not get the attention it deserves. But this is an excellent example of what this type of film can be, one i hope will be studied by the much bigger-budgeted tent poles you know and love. I can't remember the last time i was actually pumped to see a sequel based on a "post-credits" teaser- to be honest, i never know what is going on in most of them, but this one made me wish Netflix had switched me immediately to the next one. Also, Charlize Theron in the lead role in this film is simply wonderful.

8. BIRD BOX 2018, (HORROR/SCI-FI): the acting really sells the premise, chiefly from Sandra Bullock, imparting a striking sincerity that prevents the sci-fi/horror elements from being frivolous. Supporting roles are similarly superb, with John Malkovich, Trevante Rhodes, Lil Rel Howery. This movies has a good approach, but its genius fades as it advances. Also, it's the "Best horror movies of 2020".

7. SPENSER CONFIDENTIAL 2020, (ACTION): Mark Wahlberg it is associated for me with comedy movies, that's why i was shocked because it's a action movies. But anyway, Mark's character is predictable following his code and the movie is funny in many moments

6. THE HALF OF IT 2020, ROMANCE (GAY AND LESBIAN)- NOT FOR CHILDREN : a beautiful movie that a lot of us were longing for without realizing it. There is no other film like it. While still providing elements of romanticism, The Half of it isn't what you'd expect. I would recommend anyone who's a sucker for movies that try to make sense of the whole "feeling out of place in a small town " motif to watch this movie. There's no better time to watch this brilliant film than in quarantine. Leah Lewis, Alexxis Lemire, Daniel Diemer.

5. CANDY JAR 2018 (COMEDY): Christina Hendricks, Uzo Aduba, Jacob Latimore, Helen Hunt, Sami Gayle, Tom Bergeron. Candy Jar is a surprisingly sweet and touching teen romance comedy-drama that goes down easy and had me craving seconds. It's a good choice for anyone looking for a light option. Also, is a solid movie about smart kids, and it does an especially great job reminding us all that life is short and that it's important to have fun. Sweet and often genuinely funny.

4. THE IRISHMAN 2019, (DRAMA/CRIME): Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, that's the most important thing you need to know before watching this movies. The Irishman was nominated for 9 Oscars for a good reason-it is extremely well acted and tells and interesting story. Any movie with a run of over 2,5 hours usually is an uphill battle for me to watch, but surprisingly, The Irishman kept me engaged the entire time.

3. THE CALL 2020, (MYSTERY &THRILLER/foreign) Korean Movie: Park Shin-Hye, Jong-Seo Jun and others. One of the better 2020 genre films from Korea, and one of the few to keep its focus on a fun high concept premise rather than getting distracted by last act melodrama. Bolstered by fine acting of the cast, the film is an excellent first outing for Lee Chung-hyun, and like Alive will hopefully find streaming success and will inspire Netflix to pick up more of the same.

2. EXTRACTION 2020, (ACTION/MYSTERY): Chris Hemsworth as the main role, this is like a definition of a "action movie" . Black-market mercenary, a kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord, dealers, drug traffickers and a deadly mission. This movie is not a masterpiece, but it's a really good, solid action movie with exciting and well choreographed sequences. So, if u want to watch a good movie that provokes strong emotions, without too much psychology or philosophy, this is the right choice for you. Also, this movie is Rated R for strong bloody violence throughout, language and brief drug use.

1. THE TRIAL OF THE CHICAGO 7 (DRAMA/HISTORY): this movie might be the ultimate movie about how to fight the far right- an artistic testament to pragmatism and a cry of rage in the era of Donald Trump and Derek Chauvin. Also, if you're a Eddie Redmayne's fan, this movie is definitely for you.
