Why The Legend of Zelda on the NES is one of the best video games ever

The Legend of Zelda is one of the best games of all time. Till this day there we very few games that can even compete with the Zelda on the NES. Yes there are games with 3D graphics now. But no game will ever have the great magic and game play of Zelda NES.

I think way back to my childhood and how great and ahead of of it’s time Zelda was. It’s a game that has inspired many new games to be created. But none of quite been able to capture the greatness of Zelda on the NES.

One thing that stands out about Zelda NES I how big the world in the game was. For the time it’s one of the biggest worlds and maps ever made. And finding all the hidden hearts and secrets was always a lot of fun. Even finding the dungeons was something that was fun in the game. It was not easy to find everything but it was a fun time trying to find all the secrets.

But now let’s talk about the game play in Zelda. This is probably my favorite Zelda because of how cool the sword is. The thing I love is you have unlimited energy blasts that come out of the sword as long as you keep full hearts of energy. I have never seen this power in later Zeldas. For instance in Link to the Past you also get the energy blast but you have to charge it and it does a spin attack. I just love how in Zelda NES your energy blasts fly across the entire screen. I really wish they would bring this power to newer Zelda games. But this is yet another reason NES Zelda is one of the best games of all time.

OK now let’s talk about the magical fairies in Zelda. Finding a fairy while in battle was always so wonderful as it gave you full health. Then finding the fairies fountain was truly a magical experience. As the fairies flying around you healed you and just felt great. The healing fairies in Zelda truly stand out as one of the best things in Zelda NES.

OK we can sum up why Zelda on the NES was one of the most fun games ever made of all time with one word the boomerang! The boomerang and magical boomerang are so much fun. I loved throwing these around freezing enemies and then using my sword magical blast to defeat the enemies right after. I just can’t get enough of the boomerang in Zelda NES.

The game play in Zelda is just awesome you have non stop action and fights. Weather you are in the over world or in the dungeons you will always find a great fight. Then the bosses are just so much fun to fight and defeat. It’s also great find and use new weapons and magic in the dungeons.

One thing that also stands out about Zelda are the very cool upgrades you can get. Things like the White Sword and the Magical Sword really make you magical energy blasts from your sword more deadly. And you have to lose how the Blue and Red rings let you take more damage. This comes in handy especially on the last dungeon which is a master piece.

The last dungeon of Zelda is just so awesome. It’s like a maze of death. That is truly amazing and fun to try figure out and beat. It’s like an evil puzzle with traps and pathways that lead to nowhere. It’s one of the most unique and best dungeon ever made. The best part if you get to fight the evil Ganon at the end. Zelda is truly one of the best video games of all time.
