So, in some of my earlier posts, I talked about cool comics and video games. You can find the links to those at the end of this one. But right now, I wanna chat about the awesome "Invincible" comic/cartoon and the kick-ass video game they're working on. It's going to be epic!

What is "Invincible"?

"Invincible" is a kick-ass superhero story created by writer Robert Kirkman, the mastermind behind "The Walking Dead." The comic, which was first published in 2003 under Image Comics, quickly became a fan favorite for its unique take on the superhero genre.

The story revolves around Mark Grayson, a seemingly ordinary teenager who also happens to be the son of Omni-Man, the world's most powerful superhero. However, there's a twist - Mark inherits his father's extraordinary abilities, making him invincible. Hence the title, see what they did there?

The comic sets itself apart from the typical superhero fare by diving deep into character development and exploring the challenges faced by Mark as he grapples with his newfound powers, responsibilities, and the moral dilemmas that come with being a superhero. He starts out as a bit of a clumsy, inexperienced hero, but through his journey, we see him grow, both as a superhero and as a person.

One of the comic's strengths lies in its well-rounded and complex supporting cast. Mark's relationship with his father, Omni-Man, is a central focus and provides plenty of emotional depth. The series also delves into the dynamics of superhero teams, government agencies, and alien civilizations, all adding layers to the captivating narrative.

Fast forward to 2021, and Amazon Prime Video decided to turn this cult favorite into an animated series. Fans were ecstatic! The cartoon follows the comic's core storyline but manages to bring it to life with stunning animation and a stellar voice cast, including Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson and J.K. Simmons as Omni-Man.

However, be warned, "Invincible" is not your average Saturday morning superhero cartoon. While it has its share of humor and lighthearted moments, it also delves into dark, mature themes. The violence is intense, and the show doesn't shy away from exploring the consequences of superpowered battles on both heroes and civilians.

As the story unfolds, unexpected plot twists and jaw-dropping revelations keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Trust me; you'll be binge-watching until the wee hours of the morning. The series beautifully captures the essence of the comic while adding its own flair to the mix.

An "Invincible" video game?

Ubisoft just dropped a bombshell by announcing a brand-spanking new Invincible video game. Yup, you heard it right! They're calling it Invincible: Guarding the Globe. But wait, hold on to your capes because it's not your typical action or adventure game. Nope, it's a free-to-play mobile idle RPG. Who would've thought, right?

Ubisoft teamed up with Skybound Comics to whip up this mobile RPG goodness. So if you're a fan of both Invincible and free-to-play mobile games, you're in for a treat!

In the game, you'll be taking on a clone army, and you'll be part of the Global Defense Agency, working with the head honcho, Cecil Stedman. Your mission? Recruit those familiar Invincible characters we all love and beat the clone army to a pulp in some super-powered battles.

Oh, and you've got choices too! Either get hands-on with your squad in the campaign or just sit back and watch idle battles play out in the background. Easy peasy!

Now, let's talk moolah. We don't have all the deets yet, but if you've played mobile games before, you can probably guess how they'll roll. Collect characters, level 'em up, gear 'em up, and take on daily and weekly challenges.

You know the drill! There'll be currencies and stuff, and yeah, you might bump into those pesky microtransactions. But that's the price we pay for mobile gaming fun, right?

The game's lineup is looking pretty sweet already. Invincible himself, Atom Eve, Omni-Man, Robot, and more are locked in for action. Expect more names to drop as we get closer to the big release!
