U4GM GTA 5: Where and How to Claim GTA+ Rewards Full Practical Guide
Learn how to claim GTA+ rewards in GTA Online, including free cars, Maze Bank cash, Vinewood Car Club perks, property discounts, outfits and Twitch Drops.

GTA+ isn't a passive experience in GTA Online where you can get everything you want for free, it's a mission where you have to work for it. Some can be received immediately or automatically, like monthly deposits to the GTA$ in-game, while others must be claimed by the player through the game menus, website or a particular location even. This is where some confusion can occur. Players view the ads for a free vehicle or property discount, login and expect it to show up in their garages. But there are actually several systems Rockstar uses to give out GTA+ rewards, and if you know these systems, you won't miss out on anything.
Start with the GTA+ Membership Menu
The first and most crucial place to look is the GTA+ Membership tab within the GTA Online pause menu. It's under the Online section and serves as the hub for all current monthly benefits.
This menu will include the following:
- This month's free car is the
- Check the website for more Active GTA$ bonus details.
- Clothes and cosmetics unlocks
- Discounts or special offers on property
- Special event bonuses
This screen doesn't always deliver items, however. Rather, it will let you know where to obtain them. Consider it more of a map than an inventory box. Older console versions won't feature these elements since GTA+ is exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and the improved PC version of GTA Online.
Understanding GTA$ Monthly Payments
The monthly GTA$500,000 deposit is one of the most consistent advantages of playing GTA plus. This reward is typically automatic and doesn't involve manually claiming.
Some of the most important points that players miss:
- The payment is tied to your subscription billing cycle, not weekly updates
- It is deposited directly into your Maze Bank account
- It may take a short delay depending on platform or server timing
When you sign in, the GTA 5 Money should appear right away, if not, it is likely not an error. In the majority of situations, the players just have to wait until the end of the billing cycle for the session to be processed or restarted.
How Free Vehicles Are Actually Claimed
The most useful (and neglected) GTA+ rewards are free vehicles. There are no cash bonuses which are automatically added to your garage.
Usually they have to be obtained in one of these ways:
- Vinewood Car Club (GTA+ exclusive showroom)
- The websites that are placed into your game like Legendary Motorsport or Southern San Andreas Super Autos.
- A "Claim Screen" that is dedicated to the Membership tab
After finding the car, you will have to:
- Select it
- Select any space in the garage
- Now for a full purchase at no cost
Failure to do this before the monthly rotation change, could result in permanent loss of the vehicle for that month only.
Home discounts and business awards
GTA+ has a lot of discounts available for properties as follows:
- Agencies
- Auto Shops
- Executive Offices
- Nightclubs or other business assets (as per the month)
These can also be earned from in-game web services, via your character's phone browser. There are no automatic transactions here: even if you get a property for the price of nothing or a substantial discount, you'll still have to make the deal.
It may take time to qualify for some rewards, such as the need to have an associated business or to finish initial missions.
Cosmetics and Hidden Unlocks
Cosmetic rewards can be the simplest to miss out on, since they are typically added quietly to your account.
These can include:
- Clothing items
- Vehicle skins and liveries
- Chameleon paint finishes
- No fancy accessories or tattoos will be allowed
You need to physically check to verify that they are unlocked:
- Clothing stores
- Los Santos Customs
- This is the Hao's Special Works
Unlike cars, a lot of cosmetics actually don't need to be unlocked, and they will stay unlocked after you've lost your GTA+ subscription
What do external rewards and timing delays have to do with it?
Some also include GTA+ or promotion rewards, which may need to be linked with your Rockstar Games account and additional tasks to be done outside of the game to be awarded in-game. These rewards may take up to 72 hours to be processed, depending on the server load.
This is a normal delay and does not necessarily mean that the reward is missing.
Final Strategy: Avoid Automation
The best way to not let rewards pass you by is to put together a simple monthly plan:
- Review GTA+ Membership tab at the beginning of each month
- Claim the free vehicle right away via the proper in-game source
- Evaluate property discounts prior to buying
- Check cosmetic unlocks at outfit shops, customization stores
- Log external promotions separately
GTA+ is a hybrid system, both automatic and manual. If players think that they can just assume the limited time bonus cars or discounts will be there, then they may miss out just because they did not click the last “claim” step. Just a few minutes of checking every month will make sure you're getting what you pay for in GTA Online's changing rewards system.
