Tips For A Minecraft Dungeons Player

Tips for a Better Game (and not dying)

I know this isn't the logo, but all the logo's I found didn't fit the size requirments.

I have found it hard to progress in Minecraft Dungeons, especially now that Mojang has merged its launcher with the Minecraft launcher (I spent almost a month trying to figure out if I had to re-buy the game). Because of this, I have decided to put together a list of tips.

Tips for Launching the Game:

1. Make sure to have a Microsoft account. That is the only account that can support Minecraft Dungeons now that the launchers are merged.

2. If you have a Mojang account, be sure to switch to your Microsoft account if you want to play Minecraft Dungeons. Otherwise, when the screen pops up it will say "buy now."

Tips for Playing the Game:

1. When it comes to armor, put health and properties over levels. I do not mean to take a level one Soul Robe over a level two Wolf Armor. When the game begins, by all means, wear the higher levels. However, once you have begun to play harder levels, take health over levels.

2. Just because something is labeled "unique" does not necessarily mean it is awesome. One intense example of this is Maulers. A level twenty Maulers does between fourteen and twenty-six damage.

3. Eat all food. Believe me, everything is a whole lot harder if you don't. Mobs take away your health. Food puts it right back in place. (To a degree. An apple will heal 20% of your max health over a period of three seconds. A loaf of bread will heal 100% of your max health over a thirty-second period. A porkchop will heal 50% in ten seconds.)

4. Don't limit your inventory to what you use regularly. It's okay to have more than one piece of armor or spare artifacts and weapons. Accidental salvages do occur, and you may want to upgrade your favorite items. In both cases, spares items are very handy.

5. Don't be afraid to use your enchantment points. That's what they're there for! Besides, if you ever want them back, just submit the item they're on to a Blacksmith or salvage the item. The points will appear again in your inventory.

6. Drink potions! They are all helpful. Some of them, like Shadowwalker, had multiple effects. Potions, like food, can save your hide. (Have you noticed that most of these tips are about not dying? It almost seems intentional.)

7. Don't rely solely on artifacts. It can be tempting. It will not work. You will die. I have tried. I died. Use your weapons!

8. Don't forget your bow. While melee fighting may be preferable, ranged weapons are good to use while waiting for a health potion to regenerate or for your health to go back up. Believe me, your bow can save your life.

9. You can always go back to Camp at any time. Just press escape and click "Return to Camp." If you just want to get loot without the hassle of finishing a level, now you can.

10. Check your merchants every time you get back from a completed mission. After each mission, they restock. If you are just starting the game this is definitely a bonus.

11. Replay levels for better gear. Often you don't get everything the first time, and levels can change.

12. Take recommended power levels seriously. I tried to play a level thirty-three mission as a level twenty-six. Do you want to guess how that went?

13. Make progress on an easy level, then get gear on a harder level. Basically, to pass a level, play it on the easiest difficulty possible, then go back and play it on a harder level to get the best possible gear.

I hope that this was helpful and that you can pass through your game successfully.
