'Two Point Hospital' - The Most Important Game of 2018?
Theme Hospital was one of my favourite games growing up. The clever, witty humour coupled with a comprehensive and engaging strategy and simulation gameplay system cemented it as a fantastic experience for me and, along with Theme Park World, cemented Bullfrog as one of my favourite developers of all time.

Spyro 2 is one of my favourite games of all time. I don't give that lofty accolade lightly, but I truly mean it. Everything about the game, from the characters to the world, captivated my young mind the first time playing and I'm still just as captivated so many years later. As you might imagine, I was very excited after the announcement of the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy; a complete remake from the ground up of the first three games.
Lewis WilsonPublished 6 years ago in Gamers'Fortnite', yet Again Another Season
It’s that time of the year (again), another season for Fortnite: Battle Royale. Since the game's release in September of last year, the battle royale portion of the game has had five seasons, each lasting three months respectively. Each season has had a different theme unique to that season. In season two (Fortnite didn’t introduce themes until season two) it was medieval themed, with knight skins that were unlockable throughout the season. Season three bought a space theme, with astronauts, and season four bought us the superhero theme. The most recent season, season five introduced an ancient theme, bringing us skins that looked like they were from Ancient Rome and China. Throughout the three months the season lasts, the player has the option to buy the battle pass, a buy-in in the game that unlocks new customizable options for your character. These include skins, pickaxes, gliders, emotes, backpacks, and more. The battle pass will set you back ten dollars, but if you are a dedicated player it’s always nice to have the freshest skins on the battlefield. Alright, back to season five. This new season of Fortnite: Battle Royale brought us a whole new feel for the game. It added two new points of interest (POIs) Paradise Palms, replacing Moisty Mire and Lazy Links replacing Anarchy Acres. But in the section of the map where Paradise Palms is located, the map changed to a desert, instead of the typical grasslands found elsewhere. This is new to players, (including me) because this is the first time the biomes of the map has been changed. It also added the All Terrian Kart, which is the first drivable vehicle in Fortnite: Battle Royale, besides the shopping cart. Also added were transportation rifts, which when stepped through, transported you up in the air and left you skydiving back down to the ground. Also new to this season, there are skins that you can earn over time. This is essentially you get a skin at the beginning of the season, and you have to complete different challenges to upgrade the skin to make it look way cooler. In the season five battle pass, two skins feature this progression system, one that is earned on the first tier (out of one-hundred) and one where it is earned on the last tier. Season four was technically the first season to introduce this with the Omega skin, but it was tier one-hundred and players complained that they didn't have time to complete and use the fully-upgraded skin. Just by looking at the tiers, I can say that Epic games did a much better job of designing the battle pass for season five than season four. In season four, all of the skins were bleak and not truly unique. Not only did the season five battle pass feature skins that looked liked Vikings and samurais, they have a girl decked out in motorcycle gear, a unicorn pool float backpack, a girl in lifeguard gear, a balloon pickaxe, a guy that looks like a navy seal, and for tier one-hundred, a guy that looks like a bad guy straight out of a superhero movie! Being a player of the game since it came out, I’ve really enjoyed the fast-paced gameplay, but the game seems a little worn out. With my account being level two-hundred fifty-something, I’m not sure if I will be buying the battle pass this season, something that I usually do every year, and will probably revoke buying new skins from the shop. Anyway, I will still be out there on the battlefield trying to get the #1 Victory Royale! Have a fun season, and remember, game on!

#NotMyBattlefield, the trending tag was posted almost everywhere on Twitter after DICE released the first Battlefield V trailer. Talks of hate speech, misogyny, and bigotry resonated throughout the gaming industry as fights between "feminists" and "historian gamers" ensued. Sure, the highly anticipated WWII shooter has not released yet. Still, tons of gamers are outraged. Could this spell disaster for the AAA title before its long-awaited release on October 19, 2018?
