Ubisoft Could Be Facing A Hostile Takeover, What Does That Mean For Our Games?
Ubisoft is one of the largest game developers in the business, ranking third in among independents, only behind Electronic Arts and Activision. And it's easy to see why they would be so large considering that they are behind several pivotal and beloved franchises like: Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon, Watch Dogs, Far Cry, Splinter Cell & Rainbow Six. Yet being one of the largest or most popular companies doesn't mean that there isn't a war for control just over the horizon.

You wanna feel old real quick? Next year will mark the 20th anniversary of the original Pokemon games' release in Japan. In America, next year the original Pokemon games will be old enough to vote (since they were released in 1998 in North America). Yeah, it's been that long. New Mirror's Edge Catalyst Gameplay Trailer Released
I was a big fan of the first Mirror's Edge from the get go. The game itself looked fantastic with its minimalist aesthetic and the parkour element was very well developed. When I heard about another Mirror's Edge coming out, I was more than a little bit excited about it then that excitement tapered off for a while. Until today. This new gameplay footage has me amped all over again. The beginning shows more of the same from the first game (which isn't a bad thing by a long shot) and then stuff gets real crazy towards the tail end. Check out the trailer below!

If You're A StarCraft Fan You'll LOVE 'The Rush'
I'm a little late to the party, but here's one for all the StarCraft fans out there. Most all of us who've played the game have fallen victim to a Zerg rush at one point or another. From a gaming standpoint, it can be pretty annoying and demoralizing. But what if you were actually there? The short film 'The Rush' shows us a glimpse of what it would be like to be caught in terrifying Zerg attack. More than that, it gives us a look at what a Starcraft movie should look like if one ever gets made. Please take notes, Hollywood. If you make a StarCraft movie that looks like this then I will happily give you my money.

This $900 Chun-Li Figure From Street Fighter Will Blow You Away
Street Fighter has been around been around for as long as I can remember. My childhood was built on being at the arcade and seeing a line build up while one person absolutely dominates the machine. Each iteration seems to inspire even more impressive feats and along the way its built a strong fan base. The fanbase is strong enough that some of its most hardcore fans are willing to shell out exorbitant amounts of money for any and all merchandise related to the franchise. Luckily for them, companies like Pop Culture Shock Collectibles are here to serve. Their latest offering is a 30" Chun-Li figure made with exquisite detail and a price that might make your eyes water.

What We Know About 'Loverwatch' The Overwatch Dating Sim
Did you know someone was making a dating sim based on Overwatch? Of course you did, you're probably all about that life. That was a quick and broad assumption. However, if the internet has taught me anything about Overwatch, it's that people seem to be in it as much for the crazy fan theories, the awesome cosplay, and shipping as they are for the shooting.

I Went to My First 'Pokémon GO' Meetup Event And It Was Everything I Dreamed!
I understand that I'm late to the party when it comes going to a Pokémon GO meetup, but going outside is a challenge for me even with the game spurring me on. However, the perfect storm of opportunity and good people came together so I decided to go to my very first one.

Inside Look At The No Man's Sky Offices Shows Off Good Times and Hard Work
No Man's Sky seems like it's at the tip of everyone's tongue these days and there's a pretty good reason why. The game is touted to be absolutely massive quintillions of planets with a lot of things to see and do. There are planets to be explored and things to marvel at being brought a scope that hasn't really been done before. In fact, there's a high chance you might not even get to see all there is to see. With all this scale and grandeur, you'd expect it to be done by some massive studio with a bevy of resources at their disposal. Right?

The Problem with AAA Games
It is no secret that Indie games have been increasing in popularity at an impressive rate for a number of years now and, in many ways, are held in higher regard than the big company’s titles. What exactly is the reason for this trend and where have AAA titles gone wrong?
