As our technology grows, more and more apps are added to the stores programmed on our phones. From games to photo editors to news outlets and social media, there is truly something for everyone. While playing some of the games I had added to my phone, I stumbled across an app called Rewarded Play. At first I was skeptical but the ads intrigued me. The app itself is available on both I-phone and Android. The app allows you to download games, earn points and redeem those points for gift cards. When you download the app it gives you a list of games that they have partnered with. You choose the games you want to participate in, download and begin earning points. You have the ability to earn points for daily login for each game you've installed and play for at least 2 minutes. Leveling up in the game also earns you points (point values vary per app) and in app purchases will help you earn points fastest.

Depending on what is being offered that day, you will receive notification multiple times a day to receive bonus options. A sample of what you might see is, "Download 3 apps and earn Day 1 points in the next 3 hours, get 1,500 points per app." These promotions allow players to earn points faster. Just like the games you may already have on your phone, the Rewarded Play app gives you daily gifted points for each consecutive day you earn 5,000 points. You play the games you've downloaded using the app, earn 5,000 points and get a bonus 500-2,000 points for each day you consecutively earn that initial 5,000 points.

You can play as little as you want or as much as you want and you can cash out for $5 gift cards at 45,000 points or $10 gift cards at 90,000 points. You can choose different gift cards for each set of 45,000 or 90,000 points you earn. So the first time you earn enough points you can choose to redeem an Amazon gift card and the next time you can switch to a Walmart gift card. And you can cash choose which gift card you are earning points towards, either the $5 or the $10. Based on what you choose the app tells you how many days are estimated for you to earn that gift card. Although there are not a ton of gift card options to choose from, the options they provide can be used however you choose. From Amazon, Chipotle, Applebees, Walmart and Target, Group-on, Adidas, AMC, and more.

There are no fees and you never have to make an in app purchase to earn points. Play as much or as little as you want, select your rewards, redeem, and spend. I have been using this app for less than a month and I have already cashed out $15 worth of gift cards. It doesn't seem like a lot, but as someone who does what she can to stay off her phone for long periods of time, it is a nice way to enjoy some of my favorite games and find new games, while earning something I can later use. If you have younger siblings or children you can have them help you earn points, if they are at an age that you approve of. Another feature of the app is that before you download the app, they tell you how many possible points you are able to earn. Because there is no commitment you can delete apps whenever you like, if you need to free up space on your phone or max out on your points.

I highly recommend this app if you already play games on your phone. Some of the ones you are playing may already be listed. When you go to redeem your gift card they give you an estimate of how long it should take for you to receive your digital gift card. The two times I have cashed out it has taken less than half an hour to receive and once you receive your card you can immediately use it. If after 14 days, you receive your digital code but choose not to redeem it for the gift card the app will refund your points and you can keep earning.
