Welcome everyone to the Raid Shadow Legends Journey! If you don't know what Raid Shadow Legends is yet you are in for a treat. "Shadow Legends is a freemium mobile role-playing game developed and published by Israeli game developer Plarium Games, a subsidiary of the gambling company Aristocrat Leisure. A port to PC was released on January 21, 2020"

Raid Shadow Legends can be played on PC and Mobile with different benefits if played on both.

When you start on Raid Shadow Legends you can pick one Starter Hero for your Journey.

1.Kael

2.Elhain

3.Athel

4.Galek

Let's Start with Kael

Kael is a Rare Champion from the Dark Elves faction in the popular mobile game, Raid: Shadow Legends. He is one of the four starter champions that players can choose from before beginning their adventure. Kael is well-known for his Poison skills and is a valuable asset for boss raiding, particularly at Clan Boss, Dragon, and Ice Golem.

Kael has a unique set of skills that make him a powerful force on the battlefield. His Dark Bolt (A1 Skill) is a single-target attack that can apply a Poison debuff on the enemy. This debuff is particularly useful against champions with high health and defense, as Poison damage ignores defense and deals damage based on the enemy's maximum health. To successfully apply the Poison debuff, Kael must have sufficient Accuracy, which is equal to the Dungeon Level multiplied by 11.

His Acid Rain (A2 Skill) is an AOE attack that hits all enemies on the battlefield. This skill provides an additional 15% Critical Rate, which, when combined with Kael's other critical rate boosts, allows him to deal massive critical damage to wipe out enemies instantly. This skill also gives Kael a 25% Turn Meter boost per enemy killed, allowing him to quickly take another turn if he manages to defeat multiple enemies at once.

Disintegrate (A3 Skill) is Kael's signature Poison skill that deals a more deadly Poison debuff. While this skill may deal lesser damage compared to his other skills if multiple enemies are present, it still deals a high amount of damage to a single target. For players who use Kael primarily as a Poisoner for boss raiding, it is recommended to visit the Clan Boss guide to optimize his build.

Kael also has a Health Aura that can be used in all areas, which is helpful in boosting your champions' survivability early in the game. Overall, Kael is one of the best Rare champions in Raid: Shadow Legends and is well worth taking to level 60. His role can be customized based on the player's game progression, whether as a debuffer (early-mid game) or nuker (late game).

Secondly is Elhain in my experience

Elhain, the High Elf Rare Champion in Raid: Shadow Legends, is a solid and versatile champion who can play a key role in different aspects of the game. Despite being considered one of the weaker starter champions, she still possesses high damage output capabilities and can be a valuable addition to any team.

In terms of abilities, Elhain's A1 Attack, Keen Shot, targets a single enemy and has the potential to land an extra hit if it's a critical strike. Her A2 Attack, Lightning Arrow, not only damages a single enemy and all enemies, but also gives her a 30% increased critical rate buff for three turns if she kills a target. Her A3 Attack, Valley of Death, hits all enemies twice.

In addition, Elhain also has an aura that increases the HP of all allies by 15% in battles, further boosting her value to the team. When building Elhain, it's recommended to concentrate on offensive and defensive masteries, as accuracy does not play a significant role in her abilities. The Warmaster mastery is often the best choice for most situations.

Overall, while Elhain may not have the same debuff capabilities as other champions, she can still contribute significantly to a team with her high damage output and supportive aura.

Third place comes Athel

Athel is a versatile Rare Magic Attack champion from the Sacred Order in Raid: Shadow Legends. He is one of the four starting champions that players can select before beginning the game, along with Kael, Elhain, and Galek. With his multi-hit attacks, Weaken debuff, and self-buffing skills, Athel is a valuable addition to any team.

Strike Down (A1 Skill) is Athel's main attack that can apply the Weaken debuff to a single target. This debuff allows your team to deal extra damage to the enemy and is particularly useful against dungeon bosses and Clan Bosses like Hydra and Demon Lord. Additionally, the attack hits the target three times, making it effective in quickly removing the Fire Knight's boss shield.

Divine Blades (A2 Skill) is Athel's AoE attack that hits all enemies in the battle and provides a 15% increase to Critical Rate. With an 85% or higher Critical Rate, Athel can deal critical damage and wipe out enemies instantly. This Critical Rate boost is unique to all four starter champions and gives them an edge over other Rare champions.

High Blessing (A3 Skill) is a self-buffing skill that increases Athel's Attack and provides an extra turn. If Athel's health is low, the skill also increases her Defense, making her more resilient. This skill is especially useful for solo or duo clearing Campaign bosses and achieving 3-star ratings without requiring end-game gear.

Athel also has a Health Aura that can be used in all areas, which helps to increase the survivability of your champions. Overall, Athel is a highly valuable Rare champion that can be customized to fit your game progression. Whether as a debuffer in the early to mid-game or a nuker in the late game, Athel is a champion worth leveling to 60. Once you have completed the Champion Fusion, you may consider replacing Athel with a more powerful champion like Rhazin Scarhide.

Last but not least is Galek the Orc

Galek is a Magic affinity champion from the Orc Faction in Raid Shadow Legends, one of the four starter champions you can choose from when beginning the game. Although not as highly favored as Kael and Athel, Galek is still a formidable champion, particularly in the early game, where he can serve as your campaign farmer, arena nuker, or dungeon wave clearer. Additionally, his A3 skill, Cursed Blade, brings a strong debuff to the battlefield, with the potential to decrease enemy defense.

When building Galek, it's important to consider his role in your overall strategy. If you're relying on the decrease defense debuff to land, make sure to invest in accuracy. On the other hand, if you're interested in maximizing his damage output, build him as a full nuke for arena play.

Cross Slash is Galek's A1 attack, which targets a single enemy and attacks twice. Hellraiser is his A2 attack, a powerful AoE that hits all enemies and has a 15% chance of dealing critical damage. Furthermore, Hellraiser places a 30% Increase SPD buff on Galek for two turns, allowing him to quickly move and attack again.

Cursed Blade, Galek's A3 attack, is his signature move that attacks randomly four times. With a 30% chance of placing a 30% Decrease DEF debuff for two turns, Cursed Blade can greatly reduce the effectiveness of enemy defenses. If the target already has two or more debuffs, Cursed Blade also has a 30% chance of placing a 60% Decrease DEF debuff for two turns.

Finally, Galek's aura increases ally HP in all battles by 15%, making him a valuable addition to any team. In conclusion, Galek may not be the most popular of the starter champions, but he still offers a lot of potential, particularly in the early game.
