Get ready to get up and Go! December 14-15th Pokemon Go's annual Bring 'em All back Community Day is here once again.

It's that time of year again, its Pokemon Go's December Community Day! On December 14-15th get ready to catch them all again. All of the Pokemon from the previous community days of 2019 are all going to be appearing more frequently in the wild and if you are lucky you may even encounter them in their shiny forms as well. To help those of you who play the game I've compiled all of the information of the in-game bonuses that will be happening during this event.

First things first, what Pokemon are we going to be seeing. Unlike last year's December Community Day trainers will have more Pokemon that they can expect to see with all of them having the potential to be shiny. On December 14th until December 15th from 9 AM to 9 PM on both days trainers can expect many of the past community day Pokemon appearing more frequently in the wild. On December 14th the following Pokemon will be appearing more frequently in the wild: Totodile, Swinub, Treeko, Torchic, Mudkip, Ralts, Slakoth, Trapinch, Bagon, Turtwig, and Chimchar. Much like last year, only this time they've added a few surprises to this event. In addition to the featured Pokemon from the community days of this year 2019, the featured Pokemon of the community days from 2018 will also be available to trainers. However, these Pokemon will be more frequently available to trainers in raids and eggs collected during the event time frame. In case you needed a little refresher on the Pokemon of the 2018 community days, I've got the list for you here. The following Pokemon that will be appearing more frequently in raids and eggs are: Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, Dratini, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Mareep, Larvitar, and Beldum. As always if you're lucky, you may even encounter these Pokemon in their shiny forms.

Next up are the in-game bonuses. On December 14th and 15th from 11 AM to 2 PM on both days. In addition to having more of the community day Pokemon appear more frequently in the wild, trainers can look forward to these bonuses: Double catch stardust, Double catch XP, and half egg hatching distance when eggs are placed into incubators during this time.

Some of these bonuses we've heard of before or know about already, but as everyone knows, Niantic has a way of surprising us and making us work harder for our Pokemon Go career. To help you fellow trainers out with some do's and don'ts for this event, here are some helpful tips and useful information for you to know before you head into Community Day 2019.

First are the in-game bonuses. We're getting double stardust, xp, and half egg hatch distance for two three hour windows during this event. So this is the time for those of us who are stardust hoarders, still trying to reach level 40, and like to walk or run around a lot to stock up on star pieces, lucky eggs, and incubators. For those stardust hoarders out there this would be the time to check when your daily streak is. On the 7th day of your daily streak under normal circumstances you get an additional 3,000 stardust on top of the base 100-500 based on the Pokemon you catch, not factoring in weather boost or other bonuses. So if your 7th day streak is on either the 14th or 15th of December, REMEMBER (I say that in all caps cause sometimes people forget). This also applies to those who are looking for that extra XP because you also get a load of XP from hitting your 7 day streak as well.

To help you trainers out with the Do's and Don'ts of the event, here's a list of both.

Do: Remember to put on star pieces, lucky eggs, and incubate eggs during the time frame of the event to maximize on getting more XP, stardust, and hatch eggs faster. Stack your research encounters; if you have been doing a whole lot of catching and there's not a whole lot for you to catch anymore and you still have a star piece or lucky egg running, having stacked research can help you make the most of a bad situation while you wait for more wild spawns to show up for you. Last but not least and it goes without saying, catch everything you see. It doesn't matter if you already have it or not, you should be catching every Pokemon you see during this event especially during the 3 hour window because everyone that you see is 300-1,500 or more stardust that you don't have, or 400-1,000 XP that you don't have either. If you need to, in the event that you forget, put your stuff on early, just not too early, or remember not to catch anything until the window. Also remember to check the IV's of all the Pokemon you catch, you never know when you may catch a hundo or something good for PvP.

Don't: Forget to put on your star piece and lucky eggs before you catch something during the 3 hour window, especially if that catch is for your 7 day streak. Incubate your eggs during and not before the window to take advantage of the half hatch distance, you'll just be creating more work for yourself if you forget. A big one that some people forget are to evolve the Pokemon that you want to have the exclusive moves for during the window.

Now onto the last subject, Meta Relevant Pokemon. With all the new features in the game there are lots of different people who like to collect Pokemon for different purposes. The three big ones are for raids, PVP, and Hundo/Shundo hunters. Here I will list out which ones will be useful for which purposes.

For all my PvP battlers here are the meta relevant Pokemon and move sets based on the Silph League: Charizard - Blast Burn, Swampert - Hydro Cannon, Umbreon - Last Resort, Venusaur - Frenzy Plant, Blastoise - Hydro Cannon, Blaziken - Blast Burn, Gallade and Gardevoir - Synchronoise, Meganium - Frenzy Plant, Metagross - Meteor Mash, Typhlosion - Blast Burn, and Tyranitar - Smackdown.

For all my raiders out there, here are the meta relevant Pokemon and move sets to help you and your friends take down those raid bosses: Tyranitar - Smackdown, Feraligatr and Swampert - Hydro Cannon, Charizard, Typhlosion, and Blaziken - Blast Burn, Metagross - Meteor Mash, Sceptile, Meganium, and Venusaur - Frenzy Plant, Salamence - Outrage.

Now for some of my thoughts on the event. First thing that caught my eye was the time frame. Last year we had a full 72 hours to grind out for all of these Pokemon to appear more frequently with the potential for them to be shiny, now we only have two days and two 12 hour windows in which they have increased spawns. While I would like to go hardcore and grind for all the shinnies I can, I also can respect why they did this as well. They want to ensure our safety while playing the game especially with children playing the game as well, they don't want them wandering about or sneaking out at night to strange areas in the hopes of getting the Pokemon that they want. The next thing that I was really hoping would happen and I'm so glad it did was bringing back the old community day Pokemon and also allowing us a second chance to get the exclusive moves for them as well. Like most I probably got a good IV or good PvP Pokemon that I would have liked to have the special move for but couldn't get because I missed the window. But now we have the chance to get what we wanted.

Lastly, the money grab aspect of it. You can probably already bet that there's gonna be an exclusive box that the creators are gonna put in the shop filled with the items that we need for the event and they know that we're gonna go for it. To be honest with you, they kind of have me too. A lot of the Pokemon that I do want a good IV but also want a shiny of are gonna either be in the raids or in eggs, and the only way to get those is to get a whole lot of incubators and raid passes, which is gonna burn a hole in my wallet if it hasn't already, but its gonna be totally worth it.

These are just some of mine and others thoughts on how the event may go down, but be sure to let me know what else you may be interested to know about the event or what you are most excited about. As always guys be safe, mind your surroundings, and Go Catch 'em All!
