New Mirror's Edge Catalyst Gameplay Trailer Released

I was a big fan of the first Mirror's Edge from the get go. The game itself looked fantastic with its minimalist aesthetic and the parkour element was very well developed. When I heard about another Mirror's Edge coming out, I was more than a little bit excited about it then that excitement tapered off for a while. Until today. This new gameplay footage has me amped all over again. The beginning shows more of the same from the first game (which isn't a bad thing by a long shot) and then stuff gets real crazy towards the tail end. Check out the trailer below!

The animation does seem a bit stiff as compared to the first game, but the video is noted as being pre-alpha footage so hopefully by the time it's out, it'll have the same smooth gameplay that we fell in love with. Also, Faith's voice seems drastically different. Maybe it's just been a while since I've played Mirror's Edge but I feel as though her voice is deeper in this game. Whatever the case may be, I'm still excited and I'm looking forward to more.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst is set for release on February 23rd, 2016.
