In Diablo 2 Resurrected we can survive longer by adding resistances to characters.

In Diablo 2 Resurrected the player's character can gain a large number of resistance bonuses. This keeps us from being at a disadvantage when facing various bosses. Below we will introduce the various resistances in this game in detail for you.

Lightning Resistance

Lightning Resistance is very useful against unique monsters with lightning magic. Every time you hit a unique lightning monster, it will release an electrified bolt to the four corners of the screen. The more you hit a monster, the more charging bolts it releases. In these cases, high lightning resistance can save you.

Willow knights often attack with concentrated lightning beams, much like the witch's 12th-level lightning spell, although usually more powerful. Swarms of these monsters tend to strike you with lightning strikes at the same time, and lightning resistance can be the key to your survival. In Diablo 2, Lightning Enchanted Unique Monsters are considered the deadliest monsters, especially monsters with other magical bonuses like immunity, teleportation, and stone skins, which make them difficult to kill safely. High to max lightning resistance can save you against these monsters.

Fire Resistance

Fire Resistance is very useful throughout the game as many monsters have fire attacks. Corrupted shaman, your first contact with fire creatures, has an attack similar to the witch's Firebolt spell. Some unique monsters are fire magic. They have fire damage added to their attacks, and when they are killed they explode, dealing a lot of fire and physical damage. Some frogs also throw fireballs in the third act. Demon Imp in the fifth scene has a fire attack and unleashes hell from barricade towers or siege beasts.

Poison Resistance

Aside from being Frozen, Poison is probably the most annoying way to attack. When you are poisoned, both you and your life orb turn green and drain your health. Some poisons are very lethal, and some last longer.

Quite a few monsters have poisonous attacks:

  • Bone Ash is found in the Cathedral in Act I; Bone Mage, Andariel, and Mummy.
  • In act two; poisonous frogs; swamp monsters; and mummies, leave behind poisonous clouds when they die. Booby traps can also fire poisonous missiles or leave poisonous clouds behind.
  • Catapults in scene 5 sometimes have poisonous attacks.

An antidote can heal instantly. The antidote is best used after all poison monsters have been killed. If you use it once in combat, you may be poisoned again after using the antidote. Certain magic items can reduce the time you are poisoned or the damage a poison attack does to you.

Melee characters are generally more vulnerable to poison attacks than ranged attackers. Mummies, ghouls, and other monsters can shoot poison at close range. Ghouls also leave behind poison clouds when they die.

Cold Resistance

Unique monsters with cold magic are most likely to deal cold damage. Other monsters with Chilling attacks include the Claw Viper, found in Scenario II, the Mage with Chilling melee attacks, and the Summoner, which casts Glacial Nails. The priest Zakarum found in the jungle city of Kurast also casts Blizzard. The undead terror's cold snap is by far the most destructive. For this reason alone, it pays to maximize your cold resistance.

When they die, certain cold magic monsters will trigger an explosive frost nova. Keep melting potions in your inventory to instantly melt yourself when you get frostbitten. When you're cold, you move and attack much slower, which is worse than a cheap laugh.

The magic skill "Half Freeze Duration" halves the cooldown, but only once, multiple items with this skill will not reduce the cooldown further, and "Cannot be Freeze" provides a counter cooldown by setting the duration to 0 ultimate protection. This is not to be confused with Divine Freeze. Holy Freeze will directly slow down the animation while still showing the same blue overlay when you cool down.

Magic Resistance

Each character has a magic resistance. Normal, Nightmare, and Hell difficulty have a base of 0. The only item that can adjust this resistance is a crafted safety shield that has +5 - 10% magic resistance. Magic resistance cannot be reduced by any skill or item. The Rune Oath can also change the amount of damage absorbed.

Physical Resistance

While it also doesn't show up on the character's screen, this resistance reduces physical damage just like elemental resistances reduce or increase elemental damage. On items, it reads "Damage taken reduced by x%" and magnifies damage by 100% and dispels by 50%. Then the lower cap is -100% and the upper cap is 50%.

The above resistances are very important for players and can help us survive longer when facing various bosses. This means that we have a greater chance of winning, and then we can get a lot of rewards. This way we don't have to buy d2r ladder items.
