Online gaming has completely taken over in the gaming industry, with most games now offering some type of multiplayer option on the internet. Amidst this explosion of online gaming, one industry came up and grew into a real giant, and that is the iGaming industry.

The term iGaming stands for all types of games of chance played on the internet, including slots, poker, card games, bingo, fantasy sports, and more. To tell us more about the world of iGaming and where it stands today, we talked to Lucas Mollberg, an industry expert and the owner of several expert sites designed to help people understand the games better.

Hello Lucas and thank you for joining g us to discuss iGaming. Can you please explain to our readers what exactly iGaming is, how long it’s been around, and how they can get involved?

Hello and thank you for inviting me! Like you already explained in your intro, iGaming is a word that stands for all types of virtual games of chance. The thing people don’t always understand is that iGaming does not have to include real money, as these games can be played for the so-called “play money” as well.

Most frequently, when we talk about iGaming, we are actually talking about online casinos, sportsbooks, and poker sites. These are the sites that drive the most traffic in the iGaming industry and offer the most entertainment value to the actual players.

What is your personal experience in this industry that makes you an expert on it? Can you tell us a bit more about yourself?

Of course! I have been in the iGaming industry since its early days, and I run several experts sites such as Bestbonus.co.nz, which are designed to help players learn how to play various games, as well as make the most out of the promotional offers that the operators have for them, and more.

I have really made it my life’s mission to prove to people that iGaming can be just another form of entertainment and does not need to be seen as a taboo. Of course, some people don’t even want to talk about this subject, but I think the concept is quickly catching on, which you can see by the growing number of recreational iGaming players who are there just to have fun.

You mentioned that you don’t need to risk any real money in iGaming, but how exactly does that work? How can we gamble without any risk?

When you mention iGaming, people immediately jump to the concept of gambling, and while it is true the two are related, they are not one and the same. For instance, online gambling for real money is not yet legal in all American states, but players can join social casinos and play some amazing games with absolutely no real risk.

What’s even more, you have iGaming present on social platforms like Facebook, where players can play poker, slots, roulette, blackjack, and other games with no risk. These are all just social games that you can enjoy with your friends and their similarity with real-world casino games just makes them that much more fun to play, not any kind of a danger to you.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts with us Lucas and we hope this can help some people realize the concept of iGaming better and allow for some more discussion on the subject.
