Although the ICC typically announces the 2023 world cup schedule well in advance, they still need to do so for the upcoming edition. In the case of the 2019 World Cup in England, the schedule was announced in April 2018. The governing body of the game is expected to announce the schedule for the upcoming World Cup soon.

However, in the meantime, we have prepared a tentative for the cricket world cup 2023 schedule. According to reports, the tournament is scheduled from October 5 to November 19.

The first match is set to be played between the winners and runners-up of the last edition, England and New Zealand, respectively, at the Narendra Modi Stadium on October 5. If the latest reports are accurate, India's first match in the ICC World Cup 2023 will be against Australia, and the highly anticipated India VS Pakistan clash is scheduled for October 15.

ICC World Cup 2023 Team List

Like the previous edition, the upcoming ICC World Cup 2023 will feature 10 teams. While Team India secured its spot as the host nation, the other teams had to earn their positions through various routes. The primary qualification route was the 2020–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League tournament.

India, along with the top seven teams from the thirteen competitors in the Super League, will secure their places in the ICC World Cup 2023. The remaining five teams and five Associate sides will participate in an ICC World Cup 2023 qualifier in Zimbabwe to compete for the remaining two spots.

So far, India, New Zealand, England, Australia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Afghanistan have confirmed their spots in the tournament. Either South Africa or Ireland will claim the final automatic World Cup qualification spot.

On the other hand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, the Netherlands, Scotland, Oman, Nepal, USA, UAE, and either South Africa or Ireland will compete in the Qualifier for the remaining two spots.

About ICC Cricket World Cup 2023

India has been chosen as the host nation for the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup, and the tournament will see matches held in various cities throughout the country. The scheduled dates for the event are from October 23, 2023, to November 24, 2023. The competition will bring together 10 teams from different parts of the world.

The teams will be divided into two groups, each consisting of five teams. In the group stage, every team will compete in four matches.
