Now that you got the basics of writing stories for your Sims shows and the tools of the trade to put the your show together, it's time to go over the details. We will start first with composing your workbook. This is what you need to make up details of your show, whether you're making movies, series like soap operas or sitcoms that are currently in work-in-progress mode. You can use a 8 x 10 ½” notebook such as a loose leaf, spiral or composition. Loose leaf is best to work with because you can add more loose leaf papers and folders with small holes on the side for your future shows and take the details of your completed shows or episodes to store in your folder as archives (you can use the archives as cross references for making flashback of the past scenes or day dreams fantasies regarding your characters and plots on your show). If you're going to use spiral notebooks, use a five subject containing 180 pages. For a composition notebook, you will need to divide parts of the notebook into 5 sections to label each topic by taking one page and fold it triangle wise facing outward, it would like an arrow pointing away from the binder.

If you prefer to use your computer, you can create a folder and entitle it Sims Shows Workbook, inside make five additional folders and label the topic listed below for each folder. Please, be aware of hard drive space on your computer as you save your completed work to the right folder. Sometimes computers can malfunction without warning and the repairs and replacement parts are pretty costly, you don't want all your hard work to be erased suddenly. So as a back up, be sure to have your external devices handy so you can save your work when you're done for the day and then continue next day.

In your workbook, label each topic on each of your section dividers.

1. Show titles

2. characters

3. scenarios

4. backgrounds

5. scenes

On each paper, there are different questionnaires you're going to fill out that will help shape up the details of your story like various characters and their backgrounds, various scenes and scenarios, etc. There are also other worksheets of projects that helpful for giving your characters more background about them. We'll go over the worksheets one by one very soon.

You can also collect pictures of your Sims characters or places by taking pictures in the Sims game and printing them and storing them in your folders so you will have a clear vision of the describing your main characters and supporting characters and the environment they're living in. This is good for genres like fantasy, science fiction, and futuristic for example. It will also grab the attention of your target audiences, forming certain viewer demographics.

The best place to keep your workbook is at home, perhaps your bedroom, den or home office if you have one. Those places provide privacy so you can concentrate on your stories more efficiently. Also, it could easily be misplaced or damage if left elsewhere by accident. So, choose a safe spot to keep your workbook where you know where it will be at all times. You can also use a file cabinet to store your completed details of your shows as archives.

The best time to use your workbook is when you have free time where you won't be so busy with other daily obligations, whether late at night or early in the morning or when you have a day off from your day job. It's helpful to keep a date book or calendar so you can schedule your time for writing. Give yourself at least one hour of your time to do the work with no distractions.

Once you get your workbook together, you are ready to compose your Sims shows in every detail.
