Contra Returns!!

Contra is Back!!!! - And with a white hot fury that would leave some wondering what a contra even is or why its so awesome as the are defined by the sounds of explosions and laser noises. If you where one of the few people allowed to sign up for the Beta of this game for mobile, then you are all too familiar with the opening screeching 80's style guitar that is the Contra opening, an opening that says- "This is Contra you are playing- and nothing else."

If you are the type of person who loves super over the top machismo, many man things, things exploding and and a cast of dynamic and interesting characters, then "Contra Returns" is definitely the game that you want to throw those hard earned diamonds at. ("Diamonds being the most important currency of the game") and boy howdy do you get your moneys worth.

Like the old contra Games this game revolves around Contra. A group of super bad ass Military experts who go into battle wearing little else but a shirt and pants, as the fight against their sworn enemy "The Red Falcon". Each character has their own set of abilities and special attacks that make them more well suited for dynamic situations. As some characters are better at handling hordes of flying enemies, others have the ability to pierce through or slow down the hordes of Zombies and Aliens that you are going to have to fight through in both the games story and its specials modes. The First few Characters that you will get to know are of Course the classic Lance Bean- The gun mode'ing adrenaline junkie, (who looks and acts like if you took Sylvester Stallone Hair and body and gave him Keanu Reeves face and voice) and of Course Bill Rizer, the explosives expert who just knows how to get the job done, (The relative love child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis if they both got married with a mini gun in their hands.)

Along with the two classic characters you also see a number of extra characters jump into the frame, each of them with something more to add to the endless "bullet hell" that Contra returns becomes. Some characters are from variations of foreign contra copies, like the little Girl Sheena, from the Japanese Contra along with a number of new and interesting Contra Characters being introduced. Each character also specializes in a different weapon type, gaining dam mage bonuses and abilities to help them fight off hordes of hilariously voiced red cap wearing enemies. So- Each of them is just as collectible as the last and adds to the over all power ability of your account. Even though some characters are ranked as only B class Characters, the strategic use of their extra abilities can allow them to hold their own even in the PvP Arean. (PvP meaning Player versus Player) -And yes! This game has player VS Player witch is as about as intense as you would expect it to be, but I will get to that later.

Because OMG-Weapons!!!!

The weapons in this game are Beast mode all the way to the brink and back again, and just when you did not think that they could get anymore crazy, each Legendary weapon is able to be unlocked with a skin that basically upgrades it into an Epic Weapon. But i know what you are asking; you are asking "Blades, isnt this just another Grinder game made to waste a bunch of time and money?" - My answer to that question is 'Shut up and play contra with me." As Each of these weapons builds into your account strength and with greater strength comes the ability to raid certain levels, meaning that you could have a top notch weapon in no time, and be holding your own against the masters in Ranked PvP earning those diamonds. Yes, you get paid to rank up and allot, a ton in fact. Not to mention the more weapon you have the faster you have the ability to earn more weapons, and unlike other games to use the epic puzzle system, Contra will actually still get you an epic and Legendary weapon through just simply grinding out. You do not have to pay to become an Epic weapon holder, its depends on your ability to play and master the various challenges and events. Yes, the super weapons from the old contra become permanent weapons in your arsenal, to be used at you pleasure in a number of combinations.

Another great feature of this game is the Legion or "Guild" Set up.

Legions are set up like most guilds in online games, and putting time into them means a great deal of extra character, and Puzzle parts from the "Legion Shop" Witch in turn strengthens your abilities. The Legions have extra challenges that are both fun and difficult, and unlike some bugged functions in other games you can easily invite your friends and Legion members to Multiplayer Events. Not to mention Legions Challenges get you Diamonds, and Diamonds are like real money.

For most who do not know Konami is one of the gaming companies who makes most of the Slot Machines in Vegas and other gambling halls. The Fact that Kanomi went and made a game like this gives bright in-site into the future of the gaming economy, in that maybe, possibly, you might be able to take your Diamonds to a slot machine and win big in Vegas playing Contra. Kanomi could corner the Bit Coin Gaming Market with Contra Returns, and its why I personally find this games dynamics to be so intriguing.

The Grind is Defiantly worth it, and might even lead to a major payoff in the future.

With so much on the horizon in the future and the rise of the Digital Money Market place, it might be well worth your time to invest in a game like Contra. Many gaming companies are already huge billion dollar corporations that have, or will soon have their own established system of currency, in fact- in most games we are more familiar with the money in them then in real life. Contra Returns is a much needed step in establishing the grinding bridge in the Bitcoin market place, and like and old "World Of Warcraft -Account" this mobile game being so closely related to a gambling machine company could make it well worth revisiting the history of nostalgia associated with the Contra Games. In fact this game is well worth the time and just exciting enough to keep you grinding for days or months until you have that shining gold account that simply nets you hundreds of dollars just for signing in once a week. And not to mention that characters from other Konami games that might become rare noncollectable events that might show up in the future. (my hope is a very confused Solid Snake, who wonders why everyone in Contra has the ability to double jump, or maybe even a few members of the "Zone of Enders" Cast as the Contra Returns even has Mech event levels that could be expanded in the future to full on battles in PvP. As in one of the Images is a white haired Solider who looks allot like Raiden before he was turned into the Cyborg we know and love, shows up in one of the multi-player event levels.)

All in all, I give "Contra Returns" a relatively Shinning Review, as a game that brings back an old classic and ads some new age spins to it in amazing quality. Even though a few things with this game are still buggy, it runs great on Mid to low ends Smart Phones and tablets. With so much to hope for in this games expansion like a continuation of the straight forward action packed story, I would recommend "Contra Returns" to anyone who is a fan of "Old School retro Neo 2D scroll shooters". Its hours of fun as well as challenging.
