Razer, a well-known gaming company, recently unveiled its latest creation, the Edge 5G handheld gaming console, during the recent CES event.

The console is an alternative to the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch, providing access to Xbox Game Pass and Android gaming.

In this post, I briefly introduce the key features and other details.

Razer Edge 5G Key Features

The Edge 5G comes equipped with a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, ensuring that games run smoothly.

It can be used as a small Android-style tablet and can be held in hand or connected to the included Kishi V2 Pro controller for a more console-like design.

Another of its interesting feature is its compatibility with various gaming sources. It is like the ultimate gaming phone, being widely compatible with different sources right out of the box.

This makes it a perfect option for those who want to play Xbox and PC games while on the go.

Razer Edge 5G Price & Release Date

The Edge 5G will start at $399.99 USD for the base model. The 5G model will be a little bit pricier. However, the exact price of the 5G model hasn't been revealed as of yet.

It will be shipped on the 26th of January 2023 to buyers who have reserved one via their website. If you would like to view their page, click here.

Bad News for International Consumers

However, the console's release comes with a catch for some potential buyers. The Razer Edge 5G will only be available for purchase starting on the 26th of January 2023 in the USA only.

This means that individuals living in other regions will be unable to purchase the Razer Edge at this stage.

While the release of the Edge 5G is limited to the USA, the company has not ruled out the possibility of sales in other territories in the future. They have not confirmed anything, however, leaving it uncertain for now.

Final Words

It is unfortunate that not many people around the globe will be able to buy the Razer Edge 5G when it goes on sale on January 26, 2023.

However, it is important to note that the company has not ruled out the possibility of sales in other regions.

This means that there is still hope for those who want to play on the go in other regions.

In any case, the Razer Edge 5G, with its fast connectivity, smooth gameplay, and compatibility with various gaming sources, is an appealing option for those in the USA who have been looking for a Steam Deck or Nintendo Switch alternative.
