Our dreams have finally come into fruition!!! My Hero Academia, arguably the greatest manga/anime of all time, has finally come out with an excellent video gaming experience. Available on both Android and IOS, the new game immerses players into the world of MHA. If your wondering whether or not this is a game that's worth playing than your certainly going to want to continue to read this article! Why? Uh... Hello, Because we're going to be going over everything this game has to offer from top to bottom.

Overall Rating

There have been several My Hero titles released in the past. However, not one of those earlier attempts had come even slightly close to being the potential masterpiece that a game rooted from this series could be. My Hero Academia Strongest Hero is the game that lives up to the name of the beloved manga series. It has been about a month since its launch, therefore it's still too early to be 100% certain but as of right now this game is definitely not one that fans will want to miss. The only down side in my opinion, is the fact that players need to have more than 3GB's of storage space available in order to download and launch the game successfully. This means that gamer's who desire to give the game a try are going to need a mobile device with a greater amount of internal storage capacity. Either that or an SD card in order to make up for the lack of storage space. That is literally the one and only negative statement I have to say about the mobile phone game. If players can manage to get around the massive storage requirements, then they'll be in for a gaming experience immersed within the universe of My Hero Academia.

Story

As players begin their journey within mobile game, they will be required to select the server that they wish for their character to belong to. Once that task has been completed, than they can kick off their gaming experience. Every player begins with the protagonist of the series, Izuku Midoriya (Deku). Although, they're over a dozen and a half other characters that can be unlocked. However, we will save naming off those unlock-able characters for the next portion of this article.

The game seems to be in a specific chapter based on some of the icons shown on the top left side of the screen. This phase is regarded as the internship season. Players begin the main campaign by completing whats been titled as the "peace keeping" act. We are required to face off against and defeat villains introduced in the USJ incident from season 1. Upon the completion of each mission, players earn a variety of rewards that assist with unlocking new heroes and leveling up the ones on their roster. There are a multitude of different "side missions" available for completion, in addition to those of the main story. Although it may still be to soon to know for certain, it seems that My Hero Academia: Strongest Hero will explore every event within the manga it's based upon. Due to the fact that I am just getting into the game for myself, I can't really provide much more of a review beyond that.

Available Characters

Now it's important to keep in mind that this game is still in its infancy stages. Therefore the amount of characters available for players to unlock isn't even 1% of the entire list of characters in the series. In spite of that however, I find it unlikely that anyone would be disappointed with the characters that are accessible. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that the vast majority of playable characters comprise of heroes in training, students from class 1-A. I mean they are the primary class of the series after all; so expecting otherwise would be fairly unreasonable in my opinion. That being said.., there are 2, actually, now 3 pro heroes included on the roster as well.

We already learned that Midoriya (Deku), the series protagonist, is who every player begins with initially. Next we will go over the rest of the available heroes in order of how likely it is that players will unlock them while completing the first "ark" of The Strongest Hero.

Ochaco Umaraka: As of right now, immediately after completing the introduction portion of the game, players are offered a "Top off" deal. Basically it's the developers way of requesting financial support from the players in order to move forward with the expansion of their project. In return for our money, we are granted with items/materials that prove vital for our progression. Said items include, coins that are used as currency for purchasing what's available in the in-game store (or, as they've named it, the mall). There is an additional currency aside from coins, what can best be described as cash. Players will accumulate this currency at a much faster rate and that's due to the fact that it's used for leveling up your heroes in almost every way. There are a few other rewards included in the offer and it's obvious that the more money you spend, the more you will be rewarded with in return. Although, players will be pleased to learn that it only takes a singe dollar bill for them to unlock the female hero who sent a baseball into outer space and Deku's potential love interest, Uravity. In my opinion, unlocking her was definitely one of the most well spent George Washington's in my entire life!

Eijiro Kirishima (Red Riot) and Denki Kaminari (Chargebolt):

These next two fan-favorites are probably the easiest for players to unlock without having to spend a penny. All one needs to do is play through the game and VWALA, both heroes will become a part of their roster shortly after. Based on my current place in the game, it appears that they are the only two that can be unlocked this way. At least, throughout the Peace Keeping ark of the game that is.

The Recruiting System

In order for players to recruit the rest of the heroes to their rosters, they must earn what are known as "Hero Recruitment Tickets". The way the system has been set up to work, the higher ranked the hero, the more tickets it "might" take to unlock them. I will explain why I say might in a little bit but first I will explain how the system is set up. For every 10 tickets spent, players are guaranteed to unlock a character, maybe even two if they're lucky. It's highly likely that this said character will be a B-Ranked hero. However, there is a very slight possibility that you can hit the jackpot and win a top-tier hero right then and there. I know this because I in fact received such a blessing from the My Hero Gods. Basically it's like spinning a wheel of fortune, while you may earn a character of any tier, you are guaranteed to get a character no matter what. However... that character may be one you've already unlocked due to the fact that a B-Ranked character is what you'll most likely pull. Next, upon spending 30 tickets, players are guaranteed an A-Ranked hero. Finally, after spending 100 tickets, that's when we finally get to the top-tier S-Ranked heroes. Now that we've gone over this unlock system, I will explain which characters fall into which ranks so that you all have a better idea of the potential difficulty of unlocking them.

[A-Ranked Characters]

- Tenya Lida (Engenium)

-Tsuyu Asui (Froppy)

-Mashirao Ojiro (Tailman)

-Minoru Mineta (Grape Juice)

[S-Ranked Characters]

-Katski Bakugo (Lord Explosion Murder or whatever)

-Shoto Todoroki (Shoto)

-Momo Yaoyorozu (Creati)

-Fumakagi Tokoyami (Tsukoyomi)

[The Pro Heroes]

To eliminate the chance of any potential confusion, I must inform you that all three of these characters are also classified as S-Ranked.

All Might: That's right! The symbol of peace and 8th wielder of One For All is available for players to unleash all the Smashes on villains their hearts desire.

Mr. Aizawa(Eraser Head): Class 1-A's homeroom teacher, the emo looking, sleeping bag loving, pro hero with the power to prevent most of his opponents from using their quirks is up for grabs. However, in order to unlock this bad ass, players, will need to unlock most if not all of his students first.

Enji Todoroki (Endeavor): The walking inferno and next to take up the spot of Number 1 hero following All Might's retirement joins the roster. In fact if you want to unlock this character then I must advise you to start playing immediately if you haven't already begun to do so. The reason being that players will only have a limited amount of time to do so. He is what appears to be the first addition to the original roster from the initial launch of the game. The announcement of his debut makes it very clear that he will only be available to unlock through out the course of said event.

Final Thoughts

I have to admit, I've been patiently waiting for a My Hero game like this to come out for quite some time. Other similar "character unlock" titles, such as Marvel's Contest of Champions and Assassins Creed Rebellion, are perfect examples of what The Strongest Hero can become. I'm confident that in time we will be able to kick villain ass using a wide range of characters from the series! Although, compared to those other titles, the graphics of this one are far more superior. The amount of potential that this game has is absolutely undeniable. I have only been playing for about a week or two and I've already unlocked half of the roster. I nearly did a triple back flip and landed on the roof of my house when I unlocked Endeavor. It was literally within turning in my first 10 hero tickets, that I was awarded with The Prince of Darkness himself Tokoyami. I can't begin to describe how bad ass it is to rip villains to pieces using his Dark Shadow quirk! If you think for a second that this game is one you can skip, then someone needs to grab a bucket of ice cold water and dump it on top of your head because your definitely sleeping on, what will certainly be, the one of the greatest games to be released for mobile devices of all time. As I previously mentioned in the beginning of this article, you can download My Hero Academia: The Strongest Hero on either Android or IOS today.
