The MMO Second to None

Possibly the Best MMO to Date!

Hello everyone!!!

I'm here to give you my most honest thoughts and opinions on one of the most rapidly growing MMORPGs in recent memory. Not to mention that there is more than enough things to do on this masterpiece of a game than your basic free MMORPG because—well, it isn't free. The game itself is only a measly $10, both on Steam and the website, which if you ask me is a hell of a deal for what the giant of a game offers!

Black Desert Online is in fact, as I just said, a giant. The very first thing you're able to do is the one thing that all other MMOs could never do, and that is the extremely fleshed out character customization screen. There, you could select one of the 17 available classes:

  • Sorceress
  • Ranger
  • Lahn
  • Striker
  • Witch
  • Berserker
  • Maewha
  • Tamer
  • Valkrie
  • Kunoichi
  • Dark Knight
  • Mystic
  • Musa
  • Ninja
  • Wizard
  • Archer

And that's just the classes. Remember I mentioned the fleshed out character creation mechanics? You are able to reconstruct the faces to you're leisure and adjust your signature pose, not to mention the standard height, hair, and body adjusting features. Once you're finally done with all of that, you'll be able to select a handful of starting gear for the character specific to your selected class.

Not to brag, but I think I'm a pretty good striker, level 24, but still don't know what I'm doing sometimes because, again, it's a giant of a game. It's incredibly immense, from the detail of every individual character to the vast majority of biomes and terrains across the game.

You wake up not knowing how you've gotten where you are then a dark eminent forms, of what seems to be black smoke at first glance, leads you on through the world. After you get your bearings and walk off the limp you have after waking up, you later go to learn basic combat detailed to your class with breathtaking combat graphics and stunning sequences of the movement of the characters. It's incredibly hard to believe how much work the developers have put into the game. There are also skill trees so you can improve your fighting skills!

And even after mentioning all these amazing features, all that I mentioned is just a piece of the pie.

Not only can you follow the main story through the world, but there's of course side quests and and other little errands you can run in order to level up properly. The occasional grinding is a must to also get stronger, along with being able to craft recipes with items you pick up or purchase on your adventures. Guilds and clams are the best ways there are to leveling up, and by being in a guild or clan, you are able to join in player versus player (PvP) battles and raids with your fellow comrades. Afterwards, you can purchase houses, hire workers, and assign them to duties to nodes you have traced. And you can't get anywhere far without knowledge from killing enemies and gathering intel on people in villages and towns.

I swear, the only thing that can make this game better is if you were able to go fishing.

Oh wait, you actually can!

In short, Black Desert is pound for pound the greatest MMORPG ever created. And with frequent updates coming from time to time, it's going go get even better. I personally find it worth every penny and that the only other game that can slightly resemble its greatness is TERA, in my opinion. (Another free to play MMO that's popular in its own right as a great game and I can't talk down on that.) I've gotten to over level 30 in the first three days of playing it.

That's all I have to say. If you enjoyed my review and agree with all of my points, I seriously suggest you try the game out for yourselves and be part of the never ending adventures.

I'll see you in Black Desert!!!
