Do you have a gaming blog and are looking for an ad network that serves contextual gaming ads? Or maybe you are already using a gaming ad network, but their pay isn't much?

Whatever the case, here's the best, highest paying ad network for the gaming niche.

Why Gaming Ads?

First of all, why do you even need gaming ads? Can't we simply just use Google Adsense and earn money with our gaming blogs? NO. I mean, you can, but you can't maximize your revenue. If your website is all about video games, then serving contextual ads is going to increase your CPM, ultimately increasing your ad revenue. This is because serving video game related ads on a video game website will always result in better conversion. While Adsense isn't a completely bad option, they don't necessarily serve gaming ads.

So, what's the highest paying, best Adsense alternative for gaming websites?

'Adsterra' - The Highest Paying Ad Network For Gaming Blogs

I've only been using Adsterra for a few months but I'm already a fan! Before Adsterra I was using PropellerAds. They pay a decent amount of money compared to the other ad networks, but all their ads are annoying. Majority of them are popups and popunders that trick your visitors to click them. Basically, it's a perfect ad network for a spam website. However, if you are looking to retain your audience, this type of ad format is not going to help you on the longer run.

That's why I was looking for alternative ad networks for my gaming blog. When I first came across Adsterra I was a bit skeptical. They had mixed reviews. Some said they're good, some said they're just scamming people. Regardless, I decided to take the chance and give them a try.

And I don't regret this decision. Because of Adsterra now I'm earning a decent amount of money with my gaming blog.I know I said they serve gaming ads, but that's not all. They also have the normal ads that you might find on any other ad network. It's just that they have more game related ads than the other ad networks. You can't control what ads will be displayed on your gaming blog, so you'll be seeing mixed ads of both gaming related and non gaming related ads. And it's fine. They don't stand out ugly and go along with the site's design so a few non contextual ads are not gonna hurt much.

My Ad Revenue increased by About 1200%!!!

Yes, you heard it right. I was literally earning scraps when I compare my Adsterra earnings with other ad networks. And I thought it was perfectly normal. I just assumed that it was how all ad networks were. But I was WRONG. I was able to triple my earnings and was also improve my website's user experience since I didn't use any annoying popup ads.

Here's a comparison of my weekly ad revenue before and after Adsterra.

I only earned about $9 per week

I earned around $114 per week

% Increase in revenue = (114-9/9)*100 = ~1200%

As you can see there's a big difference in the impressions. Impressions are the number of times an ad was shown to your visitor.

This huge difference is because unlike PropellerAds, Adsterra has dozens of ad formats. I had placed each format once on my blog, so the number of times the ad was shown to my visitor was increased.

Tips for maximizing your Ad revenue

You have to remember that my revenue and your revenue are not going to be the same. This is because of website traffic, demography of your audience ad count and ad placement.

While you can't control the site's traffic or the countries your visitors are from, you can try and increase your ad revenue by good ad placement practices.

From my past experience, if you are using multiple ad networks (say, Adsterra & PropellerAds) at the same time, your CPM rate is going to be low. Why? Because if your website is overflowing with ads they won't convert very well. So try sticking to just one ad network, but use almost all of their ad format.

Next comes ad placement. Every ad network will have multiple ad formats and they will have different CPM rates. You have to experiment with the ad formats and place the one with the highest CPM at the top of your website (header) where it'll be visible to everyone (even for those who doesn't scroll through till the end.)

You can use popups, but they increase your site's bounce rate which is not good. That's why I advice everyone to avoid them. With adsterra, the CPM rate for the pop up was too low anyways, so not using them was the optimal solution for me.

Maximize the money you earn from your gaming website with Adsterra

In conclusion, Adsterra is the best ever ad network I've worked with. If you have a website with decent traffic you will definitely find this ad network more useful than the others.
