All Gnome Locations in Run a Restaurant Explained

Run a Restaurant: All 10 Gnome Locations Guide

By Serhii BiloshytskyiPublished 4 months ago • 7 min read

If you’ve spent even a few hours in Run-a-Restaurant, you already know how chaotic the game can get once customers start flooding in. One second you’re calmly placing tables, and the next you’re sprinting across the kitchen because three burgers are burning while impatient NPCs stare into your soul. It’s part of the charm, honestly.

That’s exactly why so many players start looking for ways to boost their restaurant as quickly as possible. Better cooking speed, more money, faster progression — all of it matters when you’re trying to turn a tiny starter café into a massive money-making machine. And that’s where the hidden Gnomes come in.

There are 10 Gnomes hidden around the island in Run a Restaurant, and while the game never forces you to collect them, skipping them is honestly a mistake, especially if you’re new. These little statues permanently improve important stats and make the early game significantly smoother. The best part is that there are no level requirements, no quests, and no complicated puzzles involved. You can simply walk around the island and grab them whenever you want.

Some of them are easy to spot immediately, while others are hidden in places most players completely ignore. A few are tucked behind objects, one is floating near the ocean, and another is hidden inside the Shop itself. The developers clearly had fun hiding these things.

Before we get into the locations, it’s also worth mentioning that Run a Restaurant has redeemable codes that can give players useful rewards and extra boosts. If you’re just starting out, using active game codes together with collecting Gnomes is probably the fastest way to improve your restaurant without spending Robux. It’s one of those combinations that makes the early grind much less painful.

Now let’s go through every Gnome location one by one.

The First Gnome Near Taco Tuesday

The first Gnome is probably the easiest one to find because it’s sitting near one of the busiest areas on the map. Head toward the center fountain area where you’ll usually see players running around checking leaderboards and NPC events.

Near the Taco Tuesday NPC and the Customers Board, you’ll notice a patch of grass nearby. Hidden there is the first Gnome. It’s hard to miss once you know where to look, but surprisingly a lot of players sprint past it because they’re too focused on upgrading their restaurant.

This one almost feels like the game’s way of introducing the mechanic to players.

The Blue Gnome Under the Tree

After collecting the first Gnome, turn toward the left side of the Customers leaderboard. You should see a tall cone-shaped tree standing by itself. Underneath that tree is a blue Gnome quietly hiding in the shade.

I actually walked past this one multiple times before noticing it. The tree blends into the environment so naturally that your eyes don’t immediately focus on what’s underneath it.

Luckily, you don’t need to interact with anything complicated. Just walk close enough and collect it.

The Hidden Bench Gnome

This is one of the sneakiest Gnomes in the game because it’s positioned underneath part of the environment instead of beside it.

Go to the opposite side of the fountain from the second Gnome location. You’ll spot a small bench there. Instead of checking around the bench, look underneath it — specifically near the left-side leg.

That’s where the red Gnome is hiding.

It’s honestly a pretty clever hiding spot because most players naturally look around objects instead of beneath them. The developers definitely knew what they were doing with this one.

The Gnome Behind the Update Board

Next, walk straight away from the central fountain toward the opposite side of the island. Eventually, you’ll reach the Update board area.

Behind the board, slightly hidden from view, sits another blue Gnome.

This one is fairly simple to grab once you know it exists, but the board blocks visibility just enough that players rarely notice it while casually exploring. Most people only visit the Update section briefly before turning around immediately.

The Stone Block Gnome Near the Water

From the Update board, continue exploring the nearby area and look for a tree beside several stone blocks near the water.

Behind those rocks is one of the stranger-looking Gnomes in the game because it appears partially stuck inside the stone itself. The red coloring makes it stand out a little, but the awkward placement still makes it easy to overlook.

I remember thinking it was some random decoration at first until I walked closer and realized it was collectible.

This is probably one of the more creative hiding spots in Run a Restaurant.

The Ocean Edge Gnome

This Gnome is a little farther away from the main activity areas. Starting from the Cash Leaderboard, walk toward the ocean and continue past player restaurants until you reach the edge of several terrain blocks.

Near the edge, you’ll find a maroon-colored Gnome.

This area feels oddly peaceful compared to the rest of the map. While everyone else is panicking over customer orders, you’re just quietly exploring the shoreline looking for tiny statues. It’s actually kind of relaxing.

This Gnome also proves that not every collectible is hidden directly around the central hub. Some require a bit more exploration.

The Shop Side Gnome

Head over to the main Shop building next. On the left side of the Shop, near a grey stone sitting in the grass, you’ll find another red Gnome.

This one is relatively easy once you begin actively searching for Gnomes because by this point you start understanding the game’s hiding patterns. Rocks, benches, trees, and corners are suddenly suspicious.

It’s funny how collectible hunts completely change the way you look at game environments.

The Garden Ledge Gnome

Behind the Shop is the Garden area, and this is where things get slightly trickier.

Move toward the left side of the Garden until you find a raised terrain section with a small ledge. Sitting on that ledge is another Gnome.

The important thing here is positioning. You don’t necessarily need to jump perfectly onto the ledge. In most cases, simply walking close enough to the terrain allows you to collect it.

A lot of players assume they need advanced movement or parkour for this one, but thankfully that’s not the case.

The Ocean Gnome Behind the Shop

While you’re still near the Garden area behind the Shop, continue walking toward the sea. Eventually, you’ll notice something unusual floating near the water.

That’s the green Gnome.

This one honestly caught me off guard because I wasn’t expecting the developers to place a collectible directly in the ocean. You don’t need to swim incredibly far out, though. Just move as close to the beach edge as possible and you should be able to collect it.

It’s one of the more memorable Gnomes simply because it breaks the pattern established by the others.

The Final Gnome Inside the Shop

The final Gnome is actually inside the Shop building itself.

Walk through the entrance and head toward the plants and garden decoration section. Near the right-side corner of the entrance area, you’ll find the last hidden Gnome waiting there.

There’s something satisfying about ending the hunt inside the Shop because most players spend so much time there buying furniture and upgrades without realizing a collectible has been sitting nearby the entire time.

And with that, you’ll officially have all 10 Gnomes collected.

Why Gnomes Matter More Than You Think

At first glance, the Gnomes might seem like simple collectibles added for fun. But in reality, they function more like permanent progression upgrades.

Each Gnome contributes boosts to important restaurant stats such as cooking speed, cash earnings, and other helpful improvements. These bonuses remain permanently attached to your profile, which makes them incredibly valuable early on.

The difference becomes noticeable surprisingly fast. Faster cooking means customers get served quicker, which means more money, shorter lines, and fewer failed orders. Extra cash earnings help accelerate upgrades dramatically, especially when you’re trying to unlock better furniture or expand your restaurant layout.

For beginners, collecting Gnomes is honestly one of the smartest things you can do within your first play session.

What makes them even better is how accessible they are. There’s no grinding involved. No boss fights. No crafting system. No difficult challenges. You just explore the island and collect them.

Compared to many other Roblox games that lock progression boosts behind endless grinding, Run a Restaurant keeps things refreshingly simple here.

The Gnome Statue Design

One thing I genuinely appreciate is that the Gnomes themselves actually look different from one another. Some are blue, some red, others green or maroon. It adds personality to the hunt instead of making every collectible feel identical.

Their designs are small but memorable, almost like tiny garden statues hidden throughout the island. The colorful appearances also help certain Gnomes stand out against the environment once you know where to look.

Even though they aren’t massive visual centerpieces, they still feel rewarding to find.

Final Thoughts

The Gnome hunt in Run a Restaurant is one of those side activities that ends up being far more useful than expected. What initially looks like a fun collectible system actually provides permanent account improvements that can seriously help your restaurant grow faster.

More importantly, the hunt itself is enjoyable because it encourages exploration. Instead of staying trapped inside your restaurant clicking ovens for hours, you get a reason to wander around the island and notice all the small details hidden throughout the map.

And since there are no requirements to collect any of them, there’s really no downside. Whether you’re a brand-new player or someone returning after a break, grabbing all 10 Gnomes is absolutely worth the time.

Pair those boosts with active Run a Restaurant codes, and you’ll have a much smoother experience building your dream restaurant from the ground up.
