A Rare Pikachu Will Be Available For 'Pokemon Go' Players To Catch This Pokemon Day!
Catch 'em all before time runs out!
Niantic are celebrating Pokémon day, this year, with a very special addition to the roster, but it is for a limited time only. From now until 1 PM PST/4 PM EST on February 28, Pokémon Go players will have a chance to capture a very rare Pokémon.
Pokémon day is a celebration of the original Pokémon Red and Green versions, that originally released, in Japan, on February 27, 1996.
Over the next few days, players will have the chance to trap a very rare Pikachu. This special edition Pikachu will come with a never-before-seen move that the character cannot otherwise learn in the standard game. Look for the Pikachu wearing a party hat. They won’t be easy to find, but for the dedicated trainers, they are obtainable.
Players will earn triple the amount of Stardust for each special edition Pikachu they trap.
In addition to the Pokémon Go exclusives, Amazon and Google, are also celebrating the day with multiple Pokémon based Easter Eggs being integrated into their platforms over the next few days.
One such example can be found on the Google Home device which will allow users to ask Pikachu questions and hear the device respond in Pikachu’s signature voice.
If you are looking to add some new gear to your Pokémon library, The Pokémon Company will also be celebrating the occasion with many more limited edition releases.
But act quick! You only have a few days to catch 'em all!
