Since the 90's until today, every game has gone through evolution. It may be based on how a character looks and/or the evolution of a game. Same game, different concept.

A game going from 2D to now, 3D. In the 90's, most games used to be a one-way path, either straight to the front, or straight backwards, there was no camera rotation.

Controls? Majority of the games uses up, down, left, and right arrows for movement. Letters such as, A, Z, S, X, and others are used for attack, shoot, and other movement controls.

Shall we venture to some of the most iconic games in the 90's? Honestly, you don't really have a choice, yikes. Here's some of the iconic games in the 90's.

1. Worms Armageddon

Was this your first game you played on the PC? Worms Armageddon was the first game I played on the PC. It's a 2D artillery turn-based tactic video game. It's a two-player based game developed by Team17. This game is part of the Worm series. Each player gets a total of eight worms. You control your own team of worms in combat against your opponent, either AI or player controlled. These worms use weapons based on real life weapons and cartoonish. If you played this game, or even the newest version, you'll know how adorable the sound of these worms is.

2. Mario Kart 64

I get extremely competitive playing Mario Kart 64. This game is a kart racing game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64. Collect those extra help and release them to slow down your opponent! Choose your character, throw that turtle shell, or place a banana peel somewhere to knock the other racer and give you more time to get that 1st place. No mercy!

3. Tomb Raider

A 1996 action-adventure video game. The movement in this game allows for complex interaction with environment. Not only can Lara run, walk and jump, but she can also perform side-steps, hang on ledges, roll over, dive and swim. By default, she carries two pistols with infinite ammo and has two basic stances, first one, Lara has her weapons drawn and the second one, her hands are free of weapons. Lara is the heroine of the game, an archaeologist working for hire to recover lost artifacts.

Single player? Multiplayer? It's your choice. However, if it two player, you both will have to share one keyboard. Learn its mechanics and you can basically beat that stage easily. Metal Slug is a series of run and gun game.
