007 First Light-A Great Spy Game
Let me go shake a martini for this one

Lately you can catch me shaking up a martini with every type of olive you can think of (cheese stuffed, pepper stuffed, pickle stuffed) all to sit at my gaming desk to play 007 First Light! I love spy content and games and have been disappointed most of the time in how a lot of spy content can just be sneaking, sneaking, and oh yeah... more sneaking. That doesn't really capture the true essence of spy media honestly. I had just recently played a Totally Spies game that would at least let you turn on distractions to veer someone off of the path while trying to get by. There was a little bit of annoyance in how sometimes the only way to continue was to lure an enemy into a specific spot. This James Bond game finally has what being a spy can be mostly about, deception!
On top of the usual fighting, sneaking, and distraction use, there is a Bluff button. An option where you can use your James Bond charisma to act as if you are supposed to be in a need to know for something or have access to somewhere you wouldn't normally be able to go is a fantastic addition. This opens up where they are finally options and great usage of new spy gear that can offer as extra help for distractions. Shooting an extra small pin prick at someone with your watch can distract them enough for you to hurry through gaining what you need and then jumping out the window and ziplining back across the city and away!
Making your way to test the gear with Q before heading out and finding ways of usage to disarm traps, blast open locks, and hack into phones has been some fantastic gameplay. No slow lockpicking in here, the watch will just blast that padlock or doorknob right off! There is plenty of combat and get away driving for extra added excitement to this game. I love a spy game that is not always about being quiet and sneaky, but also the usage of loud and fast whenever made sense to be needed. This variety of storyline and decision making adds to the wonderful gameplay and graphics design for each character. I enjoy the way they made bond look for this experience, a brooding spy rebel with a signature scar on his face.
This games takes you through the entire journey of how James Bond became a spy. You start with the training and then go on to work your way up with each new mission task. You break the rules a little bit to save extra lives of course too because what is Bond without wanting to push at the odds? A favorite scene of mine is when he jumped onto an airplane and was able to hack the controls in order to make the plane sway to his movements. Sabotaging different technology is definitely top funny enjoyment getting to mess with meetings and environments around him.
James Bond looks like a VIP to me, so his journey into that upper section in clubs and auctions just all makes sense, really! The storyline from the books and movies really come to life in being able to be in the seat of 007. Uncovering secrets and chasing down intel without spilling a drop of martini is the suave way of Bond himself! I can see why so many people instantly purchased this game on it's May 27 release. It was a great birthday game purchase for me that I continue to enjoy with each play!
