World War 2 Rifles vs Vietnam War Rifles
Guns | Infographics Show

In deep trenches and thick forests,
Rifles echoed with great resistance.
World War II, a global conflict,
Bolt-action rifles ruled, protecting life.
The Garand's power, a semi-automatic wonder,
Eight rounds loaded, enemies to conquer.
While Enfields were chosen for Britain's soldiers,
Mausers echoed Germany's fearsome orders.
The Carbine light, a portable ally,
For medics and officers to rely.
And Soviets' Mosin, a vigilant guard,
Stood strong against the darkened yard.
But wars change, new battles ignite,
In Vietnam's jungles, a guerilla's fight.
The M14's weight was too much to carry,
Replaced by the M16's deadly flurry.
The AK-47, a symbol reborn,
A Russian rose with freedom's thorn.
Its curved magazine and killing strength,
Challenged freedom's cause, at any length.
The L1A1, Australia's trusted spear,
Struck fear in enemies who dared to appear.
While M2 Carbines, old in design,
Suppressed the ambushes with fire fine.
From Garands to M16s, a change in speed,
Semi to full-auto, a lethal creed.
Rifles evolved, technology raced,
But bravery remained, in every case.
