What is Death?

Do Theories in Quantum Physics Mean Death Is Probably An Illusion?

Folks have questioned what happens after death for a long time. Many would say this question is one of the main reasons men started religions. There are mant different answers to this question, but some scientists, especially those in astro physics have now added the concept of the infinite to the question!

Robert Lanza, M.D, has written a book saying that death is a door to an endless number of universes. Lanza asserts, like many physicists before me have asserted because of the near infinite size of our universe that statistically anything that possibly can happen is happening in our universe or some other universe. He continues to explain that death does not exist in these scenarios since all of these possibilities are taking place at the same time. Of course, many scientists concur that “time” is simply a subjective invention of the human mind! The materialist view is that the only reason we associate our consciousness with our physical body is due to energy operating around in our brains.

I have discussed this in my book “An Ultimate Guide to Lasting Happiness”

In lanza’s book entitled, “Biocentrism: How Life and Consciousness are the Keys to Understanding the Nature of the Universe,“ we realize we once again that the “mystic” is actually reality!

Lanza’s background in regenerative medicine and as a science director of the Advances Cell Technology Company. He has an extensive background in studing stem cells. Physics, quantum mechanics, and astrophysics are fields that he applies in his book. Coupled with biology background he formulated his “new theory” of biocentrism.

He asserts that life and consciousness are both fundamental to the ways of the universe. He theorizes that our consciousness creates the material universe, instead of being the other way around. Actually, this is an old theory postulated by many others but Lanza adds a few more twists.

He states, “Indeed, biocentrism suggests it’s a manifold that leads to all physical possibilities. More and more physicists are beginning to accept the “many-worlds” interpretation of quantum physics, which states that there are an infinite number of universes.

Everything that can possibly happen occurs in some universe. Death doesn’t exist in these scenarios since all of them exist simultaneously regardless of what happens in any of them. The “me” feeling is just energy operating in the brain. But energy never dies; it cannot be destroyed.”

His “beliefs” are theory, but they’re fun to think about! For me, having practiced Buddhism for over 45 years, I have grasped the saying in Buddhism that, “Enlightenment is only shared between the enlightened.” Simply put, the mystic or the unkniwn is mystic or unknown because it is mystic or unknown!”

Three Realms of Existence

The Three Realms of Existence are: the realm of the Five Components, the Realm of Living Beings and the Realm of the Environment. These realms are categories of phenomena arising from the unity of causes and conditions, and do not exist independently of each other. The Realm of the Five Components illustrates that the five components (form, perception, conception, volition, and consciousness) vary from person to person. The Realm of living beings refers to the truth that the lives of common mortals who are formed by the temporary union of the five components experience different worlds of the Ten Worlds. The Realm of the Environment illustrates that there are differences in the places where the common mortals of the Ten Worlds dwell.

The Realm of the Five Components

This is the place where there are differences among people in terms of material law and spiritual law. The five components are:

1. The Component of Form – indicates physical and material existence

2. The Component of Perception – the function to receive information

3. The Component of Conception – the function of forming an idea or concept about the information received.

4. The Component of Volition – the function of creating intention or desire

5. The Component of Consciousness – the function to understand all aspects of existence

The Realm of Living Beings

The indicates that living beings, each formed by the five components, can see the various distinctions of the ten worlds through their association with one another.

The Realm of the Environment

This is the place where living beings dwell in their respective, insentient environments.

What people believe is called, “faith.” Physics has theories regarding the unknown aspects of the world.
