This incredible story happened in Greenland, read until the end and see how impressive this discovery in the ice is.

Amazing how long this creature had been trapped, frozen in ice, before it was found by amateur explorer and scientist Mark. He knew this could be a once-in-a-lifetime discovery and he couldn't wait to get her out of her "icy prison". Thought the Scientist and Discoverer...

But when Mark finally breaks through the frozen wall and sees what he's dealing with, he's stunned by the true magnitude of his discovery. It was something that could change everything… Mark had to let the world know about his incredible discovery, so we're going to tell you right now.

Mark placed his hand against the ice wall. “I came back for you. I told you I would come back.” Almost acting like he was in love. Behind the ice, he could see a giant, almost human figure. But you could barely make out exactly what it was to perceive, other than its shape. Just seeing that there was something big there was enough for Mark.

He had brought people with him from the nearest village to help him access behind the ice wall and help him with what might be his greatest discovery. People start carefully chipping away at the ice until they finally get close enough to get an idea of what they're dealing with...

As they approach to see what's behind, all the workers take a step back in complete shock. Some even start back towards the entrance to the ice cave. Mark just gets on his knees. "How is this possible…?"

But what did Mark discover in the ice wall? How had he found this ice cave in the first place, and more importantly, how could this be a discovery the world would be better off not knowing?

With the century-old ice melting at an alarming rate over the past two decades, more and more secrets that were once hidden beneath it are becoming accessible, revealing incredible things to be discovered. Or things that should be better left untouched.

Explorers around the world are ready to seize these opportunities, trying to forever cement their name in the history books. Most of these explorers don't find what they're looking for, but Mark, a 36-year-old scientist, is not most explorers and his most recent mission proved that.

His journey will take you to northern Greenland, a land that was once completely inaccessible and therefore still largely unexplored. But with the effects of climate change, that changed and Mark was determined to seize the opportunity.

Mark begins his journey, trying to find something frozen under the thinning layer of ice. He is equipped with the bare minimum necessary to survive on this trip, so the first few weeks turn out to be the most difficult. But he knew it would all be worth it in the end.

The first few weeks are difficult. With just enough to survive and no comforts at home, Mark was determined to find something that would make the trip worthwhile. He walked for miles. Any civilization would be at least two days away, but then he stumbles upon something.

As the days turn into weeks, Mark becomes disheartened. His supplies are running low and he begins to question every move. With one last burst of courage and determination, he continues. Looking for anything, a strange shadow, perhaps a strange rock, or even a crack in the ice, he continues to stare, almost desperately. It is then that he notices.

On the wide, ice-covered plain, he saw it. It looked like a rock formation of some sort. He goes towards her. That was his last hope. He was tired. He was running out of groceries. Could this really be anything?

As he gets closer, he determines that it's a rock formation, but there's something else. He had an icy breeze coming out of small holes between the rocks. This is unusual and definitely worth exploring. Could it be a cave? Or a tunnel of some kind? There was only one way to find out.

Dazed with emotion, Mark does his best to move the rock out of the way. It takes some time, but he does it. There is definitely a hole behind the rock, but where does it lead? And what could he find? But more importantly, should he even go in there, or wait and come back with others?

Mark is a seasoned explorer, but he knows the dangers of exploring alone. Especially since no one knows exactly where he is or what he's doing. He has no phone signal and certainly no internet. It would be extremely irresponsible to enter now.

Thinking rationally, Mark knew he needed to get back to the nearest village. It's a hike of at least two days. Maybe he could call someone to help him and come back. But then, would he be able to find this hole again? It is then that he makes his decision.

Out of curiosity, Mark decides to take a little look at the hole. He wouldn't get very far. And he would certainly be careful. After all, he is a seasoned explorer. The hole slopes down and, being careful, he moves forward. But he wasn't prepared for what he found.

The hole quickly turns into a tunnel. It is narrow and difficult to cross. He has to be careful with every step he takes. Mark is afraid the rocks might come loose and fall on top of him, but as he descends deeper, that seems less likely. After all, everything is frozen. But things were about to get easier.

The further down he goes, the wider the tunnel becomes. Still, it's dark and cold inside. Mark doesn't realize how far he's come down. The curiosity was greater than he was imagining. Looking back, the entrance looks so small. A little light in a lot of darkness. As the tunnel widens, it suddenly turns into a gigantic cavern.

Mark was so excited. He could be the first person to find this cave. Little by little, he discovers that the cave is bigger than he thought. He knew he should leave and come back, but this needed to be explored. Walking around for hours, there is nothing but ice and rock. But his luck was about to change.

Trying to keep control of the exploration, Mark keeps walking. It was dangerous to be doing this alone. He knew it in his mind, but his heart yearned to go on, and so he does. After all, nothing comes without some risk.

It's only then that Mark notices a wall of ice that is different from the others. Because of the layers of ice around them, they looked very blue and white. But this ice wall was different. There's a dark silhouette behind her. It couldn't be just another stone. This was strange and he had to find out what it was.

Walking closer to the ice wall, he illuminates the spot. There's definitely something here, but what? He casts light on the dark silhouette, trying to discover anything that might give him a clue as to what this is. He's going to have to try something else. Fortunately, he has exactly what he thinks.

Searching inside his backpack, along with the few supplies he still had, Mark finds his little pickaxe and starts chipping at the ice. Unfortunately, it's pretty solid. Given how little progress he'd made, it wasn't worth continuing. He would probably freeze to death before finding anything.

He was being stubborn all day. After all, he was alone in a cave beneath the surface and no one even knew he was inside. It's the height of a dangerous situation. It was time to go back and get help. He couldn't make this discovery alone. The time had come to be sensible.

Before leaving, he pulls out a piece of paper and starts mapping the cave as best he knows how. He wanted to make sure he could find this place again. It's only after he's done that that he comes back. He was leaving, but only for now. There was something there and he had to know what it was.

It was easy enough to find your way back to the tunnel. Going up the hill was a struggle, but Mark managed it. When he leaves and comes back to the surface, it's already dark. He needs to set up camp soon or he'll freeze. As he begins to prepare the barracks, he outlines his plan for tomorrow. He had work to do.

With his plan in mind, he prepares for bed. He would go back to the nearest village, it was a two-day hike. From there, he would recruit a group of people to help him cross the ice wall. He could tell his colleagues, but they would want to be a part of the big discovery. Maybe they even tried to take credit for their find. He wanted to make this discovery alone.

The journey back to the village was long and difficult. The cold wind had picked up and the snow had started to fall heavily. Mark was in serious danger of hypothermia, but he didn't care. He was more concerned with remembering how he could find his way back to the cave. Nothing else mattered at this point.

All night Mark dreamed of the dark silhouette. What could it be? A new species? Something made by humans a long time ago? Laughing to himself, he even considered the bigfoot legend, but that would be absurd. He could barely sleep. In the morning, Mark is ready to leave at the first rays of the sun.

He had noted his exact location on a digital map he had downloaded, but this was very inaccurate as he was so far away. And he'd been careful to put something that looked like a flag next to the cave just in case someone else did. the person to find it and to know that it was already a discovered place.

He had chosen certain landmarks that helped him pinpoint the exact location of the cave again. He was determined to find his way back, whatever the cost. No one would stop you, this could be life changing. Mark already imagined himself famous.

In town, Mark is quickly able to round up some guys who are willing to help him out for money. He didn't tell them much about what he thinks he found and only stated that he was in need of help digging up something from the ice. People in this area are willing to do anything for money.

Fortunately the townspeople weren't interested in asking too many questions and just wanted to make a quick buck. They used the rest of the day to prepare for the return trip. They made sure they had the necessary equipment for the job.

They are given supplies, tools, and snow scooters that are capable of traversing terrain. Between that and paying the helpers, Mark finds his bank account drying up too fast, but he's willing to spend every penny he has and even go into debt if necessary for this discovery. Would it be worth it in the end?

He felt that that thought would mark his place in history forever. He'd always wanted to be famous for an discovered, and deep down he thought this was his moment of fame. The next day, they try to travel back to find the exact location, but this is much more difficult than Mark expected. Could they even find the cave again?

Fortunately, they manage to find back the area where the cave is located, because Mark has noted this on the map. But as there has been a blizzard in the last 24 hours at least, much of the area has been covered in snow. The entrance could not be found anywhere. Mark got a little desperate.

The points that Mark had tried to remember are mostly covered and this makes the cave search much more difficult. After hours of trying, the townspeople are ready to give up and go back. Mark didn't want to give up, he started to get annoyed. They had to help him make his discovery!

But luckily, one of the helpers jabs the floor with a stick, and finds the spot. He jabbed the stick directly into the snowy hole. This could be the entrance Mark had found the day before. This should be the place…

Mark's heart raced. "Is here". This was all he'd been able to think of for the past few hours. They go down the hole as fast as they can. They still had to be careful, the whole way down was slippery and Mark didn't want anyone to get hurt. Mark was about to make his discovery.

When Mark sets foot in the big cave again, it's exactly as he remembers. He almost runs into the cave to get to his frozen treasure, finding it again within minutes. There it is, the huge wall with the silhouette inside it. No one would stop him now from claiming his fame! They started work...

The townspeople were very confused as to what they were witnessing. Mark hadn't told them anything about what they would have to get out of the ice! Mark wondered for a second if the townspeople would be willing to help him in his effort.

The helpers themselves were excited. Would they be part of something historic? They got to work quickly but tried to be as careful as possible. They didn't want to risk damaging the find in any way. They started to speculate about all the possibilities, it could be literally anything. They didn't expect to find this, though.

They needed to be finished and left in excellent condition if possible. The ice layer is very thick and takes a long time to come to an end. They weren't sure if they even brought the necessary equipment for the job. Then all of a sudden it happened…

One of the workers hits the ice a little too hard and everyone stops what they're doing. Suddenly, rumors are running through the cave. From the point where the worker hits the ice, large cracks begin to form that spread rapidly through the ice. What was happening?

All the helpers take a few steps back and some even start running towards the entrance again fearing that the entire cave is about to collapse. But Mark was frozen in place. His instincts were telling him to seek safety, but there's no way he could walk away from what could be the defining moment in his life.

Seconds later, the wall of ice they've been excavating for the past hour collapses into a million pieces and what's been hiding behind it for probably centuries is finally revealed. Mark can't believe what he's seeing.

He dropped to his knees, completely in disbelief. This was nothing of the what he expected. Behind the ice wall was not a creature, but just a stone wall. But a stone wall with a huge and most likely ancient drawing of a man-like creature. Mark was extremely disappointed, even though it was a great find, not what he expected.

The design was so thick and dark he could see the silhouette through the clear ice. But now that all the ice has been broken, many more drawings are revealed on the wall. They remind Mark of old caveman drawings. Did ancient humans live in this cave?

Hunting scenes, people, fire, everything could be seen in the drawings on the wall. Mark had hoped to find the remains of some unknown creature, but perhaps these drawings could be an even more significant find. He had to get the news out as quickly as possible, to find other experts.

Proving that humans had been there allowed experts to determine when these drawings originated. Mark knew that now is the time to inform the media and his peers. This was probably one of the greatest discoveries in the area that has ever been found by a single man.

In the following months, many experts visited the ice cave that Mark had discovered and the site was quickly declared protected so that people could not enter it without permission. Mark was really proud, which cost him a lot of time, money, and effort. But now he was part of the history books.

Mark was credited with the discovery and his name would forever be cemented in the history books. It was and remains his greatest achievement as a scientist. He may not have gotten rich off the discovery, but he cared more about the credits anyway.
