A passenger aircraft is any type of plane that carries passengers. They are divided into two categories: commercial and private. A commercial plane is used to transport people from place to place; they may be operated by airlines or charter companies. A private plane is owned and operated by individuals or companies who use them to travel around the world.

The first planes were built for military purposes but now they are mainly used for traveling. There are many different types of planes, each designed for a certain purpose.

1. Boeing 747-8I - $250 million

A Boeing 747-8I is a variant of the Boeing 747-400 series of widebody jet airliners. Its first flight was on November 23, 2015. It has a maximum takeoff weight of 805 tons (788 metric tonnes) and can carry up to 416 passengers. It is powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines and has a range of 5,100 nautical miles (9,300 km).

The 747-8I is the largest passenger airliner ever produced. It features a stretched fuselage and longer wings than previous models. The 747-8F model is used by airlines around the world.

Boeing's 747 program began in 1969 with the launch of the Boeing 747SP. This was followed by the 747-100, -200, -300, -400, and -500 variants. In 1977, the 747 became the fastest selling commercial airplane in history. By 1985, over 1,000 had been built.

The 747-8 is a further development of the 747-8F. It entered service in 2016 and is currently the longest serving version of the 747 family.

2. Airbus A380 - $220 million

An Airbus A380 is a large passenger jet manufactured by Airbus. It was designed to replace the Boeing 747 jumbo jet and has a maximum capacity of 853 passengers.

The first flight took place on June 21st 1988.

The A380 is the largest commercial airliner in operation today.

The wingspan is longer than that of any other airliner in operation today. Its length is 50 meters (165 feet) from tip to tail.

The A380 can seat 576 people in a 2-class configuration.

3. Boeing 787 Dreamliner - $200 million

A Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a long-range, twin-engine jet airliner developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It was first unveiled at the Paris Air Show in June 2005 and entered service in October 2007.

The 787's fuselage is constructed from carbon fiber composite materials and features a wing that can fold back along its length into the body of the plane. This allows airlines operating widebody jets to operate out of smaller airports or even paved runways.

The 787 has a maximum range of 8,000 nautical miles (14,500 km) and can fly nonstop between Japan and North America. Its pressurized cabin provides improved comfort over previous generation widebodies.

Boeing began developing the 787 in 1990. In 1994, the company won approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration to build the 787. In 2000, Boeing delivered the first 787 to launch customer All Nippon Airways. The 787 went into production in late 2004, and the first delivery took place in May 2008.

Boeing plans to produce 2,400 787s per year by 2010. By 2013, the company expects to have produced 10,000 planes.

The 787's name comes from the shape of its wings, which resemble those of a dreamliner, a popular type of passenger liner in Japan.

4. Bombardier Global 7000 - $180 million

A Bombardier Global 7000 is a large commercial jet airliner that was designed and manufactured by Canadian company Bombardier Aerospace. It first flew in February 2004 and entered service with Delta Air Lines in June 2005. The aircraft has a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) of approximately 200 tons. Its length is about 92 feet 6 inches (28 meters), its wingspan is about 105 feet 9 inches (32.5 meters), and its height is about 31 feet 7 inches (9.8 meters).

The aircraft's name comes from the fact that it can carry 70 passengers at a time. This makes it the largest passenger plane in the world.

The aircraft is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-67C turbofans producing around 52,000 pounds of thrust each. These engines are mounted on the wing tips.

The fuselage of the aircraft is built out of carbon fiber composites and aluminum. It has a total interior volume of about 5,500 cubic feet (160 square meters).

5. Boeing 777X - $150 million

A Boeing 777X aircraft is a large commercial passenger jet that was designed to replace the popular Boeing 787 Dreamliner. This plane has been in production since 2016 and is expected to enter service around 2023. The 777X is a twin-engine widebody airliner with a maximum takeoff weight of about 300 tons. It features a two-level cabin design and can accommodate between 500 and 600 passengers.

The first flight took place in November 2017 at Paine Field in Everett, Washington. Since then, the plane has completed over 1,000 flights across the United States, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea, and Australia.

The 777X is the largest version of the Boeing 777 family, and its wingspan measures approximately 222 feet (67 meters). Its length is approximately 188 feet (57 meters), making it longer than any other airplane currently in operation.

The 777X is powered by two General Electric GE9X engines, each producing about 50,000 pounds of thrust. These engines are located on the wingtips and are capable of operating at speeds up to Mach 0.82.

The 777X's fuselage is composed of carbon fiber composites, aluminum, and titanium. It is able to withstand temperatures ranging from -60 degrees Fahrenheit (-50 degrees Celsius) to 690 degrees Fahrenheit (350 degrees Celsius).

The 777X's interior includes a total of 564 seats, including 16 premium economy class seats, 42 business class seats, and 406 standard economy class seats. There are also 12 First Class seats, which offer extra legroom.

6. Dassault Falcon 900EX - $140 million

A Dassault Falcon 900EX is a twin-engine business jet manufactured by French aerospace company Dassault Aviation. It was first unveiled at Paris Air Show in June 2001.

The Falcon 900EX has two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127E engines that can produce 1,200 horsepower each. This makes it capable of reaching speeds of over 600 miles per hour.

The Falcon 900EX seats six passengers and has a range of 2,500 nautical miles. Its maximum cruising speed is 575 mph.

The Falcon 900EX is used by many companies including British Airways, FedEx, and American Airlines.

The Falcon 900EX costs around $30 million.

The Falcon 900EX was designed to compete against other twin-engine jets like Boeing 757 and Airbus A318.

7. Boeing 737 MAX 8 - $130 million

A Boeing 737-800 aircraft is a twin-engine jet airliner produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. First flown on May 15, 1989, the 737 was designed primarily as a business jetliner. The -8 variant features improved aerodynamics and engines from the 787 Dreamliner.

The first flight of the 737 MAX took place on December 17, 2017, at Paine Field in Everett, Washington. The first customer delivery occurred on November 23, 2018, to Ethiopian Airlines.

The 737 MAX has been involved in two fatal accidents since October 2019. On March 10, 2020, Lion Air Flight 610 crashed into the Java Sea shortly after takeoff from Jakarta's Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, killing all 189 people aboard. Two days later, Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crashed near Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, killing 157 passengers and crew members. Both crashes were attributed to suspected malfunctions of the MCAS anti-stall system.

The 737 MAX is the largest member of the 737 family. Its fuselage diameter measures 42 feet (12.9 m), while its wingspan is about 52 feet (16 m). The maximum take-off weight is around 100 tons (90 tonnes) and can reach over 200 tons (180 tonnes) depending on configuration.

The 737 MAX series was developed to replace the aging 737 Classic and narrowbody 737 Next Generation. The 737 MAX is equipped with fly-by-wire controls, a glass cockpit, and larger windows than previous models.

The 737 MAX is powered by CFM International LEAP-1B turbofans rated at 13,000 pounds per square inch (psi) of pressure. Each engine produces about 1,200 horsepower (900 kW) and generates thrust through four nozzles located along the wing root.

8. Boeing 767-300ER - $120 million

A Boeing 767-300 ER aircraft is a wide body jet airliner that was produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes from May 1974 until November 2006. Its first flight took place on April 14th, 1974. The aircraft has a maximum takeoff weight of 1,200 tons and can carry up to 553 passengers. It features a high wing design and a T-tail. The fuselage length is about 39 meters, while its wingspan measures approximately 46 meters.

The Boeing 767-300 series are stretched versions of the Boeing 767-200. They have a higher gross weight than their predecessors, but lower range. The 300ER model is powered by two CFM International CF6 engines. The first variant of this type was the Boeing 767-300B7R (registration N926BA). This version entered service in December 1980. In 1987, the -300ER was introduced. The -300ER is equipped with Rolls-Royce RB211 turbofans.

The Boeing 767 is a large twinjet airliner developed by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. First flown on September 19th, 1968, the 767 is used today as a long-range passenger transport aircraft. The 767's fuselage is longer than that of the 747 jumbo jet. The 767-100 is powered by four General Electric CF34-10A5s, while the 767-200 uses four Pratt & Whitney JT8D-219s. The 767-300 is powered by two Rolls-Royce RB.211s. The 767 family is the world's best selling commercial jetliner.

The Boeing 767 was designed to replace the Boeing 720 and the Boeing 727. The 767 is larger than both of these models. The 767-200 is capable of carrying 550 passengers, while the 767 freighter can hold up to 22,000 pounds of cargo. The 767-400 is a stretched version of the 767-200. The 767-600 is a stretched version of both the 767-200 and the 767-300. The 767-800 is a stretched version of 767-600.

The Boeing 767 has been manufactured since May 1974. Since then, over 2,500 aircraft have been delivered. The 767 is the largest member of the Boeing 737/767 family.

The Boeing 767's first flight took place on May 15th, 1974. The first prototype rolled out of Boeing's Renton factory on March 31st, 1973. The first production aircraft flew on June 26th, 1974. The 767 is currently operated by American Airlines, British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, Qantas, United Airlines, and Virgin Atlantic.

9. Airbus 319 - $110 million

An Airbus A319 is a twin-engine jet airliner manufactured by Airbus. It was first introduced into service in 1995 and has been produced since then. The A319 is currently the largest member of the A320 family of airliners.

The A319 can seat between 160 and 189 passengers. Its maximum range is about 5,400 nautical miles (10,000 km) at a cruising speed of Mach 0.82 (0.822 mph).

The A319's fuselage length is approximately 32 meters. Its wingspan measures approximately 26 meters. The A319 weighs approximately 200 tons empty.

The A319 is powered by two CFM International CFM56 engines that produce around 1,500 pounds of thrust each. These engines are mounted on the wing pylon.

The A319 features three classes of seating. First class seats have individual entertainment systems, while business class seats feature larger screens. Economy class seats do not have any type of entertainment system.

The A319 is one of the few passenger jets that does not have a forward facing galley. This allows the cabin crew to serve meals without having to pass through the passenger area.

10. Airbus 320 - $100 million

An Airbus A320 aircraft is a twin-engine jet airliner manufactured by Airbus. It is used primarily as a short/medium haul passenger airliner. The A320 was designed to replace the BAC 1-11 and de Havilland Canada DHC-8 Dash 8 turboprop airliners.

The first prototype of the A320 family took off from Toulouse, France on May 20th 1989. The type has since been produced by several manufacturers including Airbus Industrie, Bombardier Aerospace, Comac (C919), Embraer (E-Jet E190) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. In total, over 5,000 have been built.

The A320's fuselage is made of aluminium alloy while its wings are constructed from composites. It features two Rolls Royce engines that produce about 19,000 pounds of thrust each. Its maximum speed is Mach 0.85, allowing it to reach a cruising altitude of 35,000 feet.

The A320 can seat between 160 and 180 passengers depending on configuration. Most airlines use the -100 model, which seats 162 passengers.

The A320 has a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a standard cruise speed of Mach 0.80. This allows it to fly nonstop from New York City to Paris without refuelling.

The A320 is the world's best selling commercial jetliner. As of December 2016, the A320 had accumulated over 50 million flight hours and over 100,000 aircraft were in service.
