Why Valentine's Day Celebration
INTRODUCTION Historically, young men and women pay special attention to Valentine’s Day observed on the 14th February each year. This day in the Catholic religion is in honour of one or two early Christian Martyrs named Saint Valentine. In the later folks traditions it has become a significant cultural, religious and commercial of the Romance and being love and observed in many regions of the world. Saint Valentine was born and lived in Rome during the 3rd century as a Priest. During his reign as a Priest Valentine had disagreement with Emperor Claudius II over single men being a better soldiers than married men with wives and families over a prolong period of time. This situation remains unresolved, and Priest Valentine decided to encourage unmarried couples to get married discretely and when it was exposed Emperor Claudius II ordered the killing of Priest Valentine because of his disobedience of the law imposed. However, thereafter the 14th February was referred to as Saint Valentine’s Day. The Roman Catholic incorporated this Saint Valentine’s day into its liturgical calendar since 500 AD

Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi popularly known as Father of Nation played a stellar role in India's freedom struggle. Born in a Bania family in Kathiawar, Gujarat, his real name was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (M.K. Gandhi). The title Mahatma came to be associated with his name much later. Before Gandhiji's arrival on the Indian political scene, freedom struggle was limited only to the intelligentsia. Mahatma Gandhi's main contribution lay in the fact that he bridged the gulf between the intelligentsia and the masses and widened the concept of Swaraj to include almost every aspect of social and moral regeneration. Paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his death, famous scientist Albert Einstein said, "Generations to come will scarce believe that such a man as this walked the earth in flesh and blood".

Ajmer’s Adhai din ka Jhonpra
This edifice of 1192 came up even one year before construction of Qutub Minar began in Delhi.It is called Adhai din ka Jhonpra, following an interesting anecdote. After the second battle of Tarain (1192) in which Shahabuddin Muhammad Ghori defeated and killed Prithviraj Chauhan, the victor passed through Ajmer. Ghori was so awed by the temples of the city, that he wanted them destroyed and replaced instantly. He asked Qutub-ud-din Aibak, his slave general, to have the needful done in 60 hours’ time (adhai din) so that he could offer prayers in the new mosque on his way back. Obviously such an edifice could not be built and instead his artisans built a huge brick screen in front of the biggest Jain shrine of the locality, so that Ghori could offer his prayers. That gave the place its name.
