Nostradamus's Predictions For 2022 Read Like A What's What Of Movie Script Ideas And Page Turning Novel Plots.
Hopefully They All Remain Fictional
Nostradamus
Nostradamus was born in December of 1503 in Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France, where he was one of nine children.
At the young age of 14, Nostradamus went to the University of Avignon to study for his baccalaureate. After leaving school a year later due to an outbreak of the plague he traveled the countryside for eight years researching herbal remedies. After some years as an apothecary, he returned to school at the University of Montpellier to study to be a doctor. Young Nostradamus was expelled due to having the manual trade of being an Apothecary, which was banned at that time by university statutes.
Works
Nostradamus compiled a collection of long-term predictions in The Prophecies Nostradamus. His first installment was published circa 1555 and contained 353 quatrains. The third edition had 300 new quatrains and was reported to have been printed in 1558. It now survives as part of an omnibus edition that was published after he passed away in 1568. This is the version that has one unrhymed and 941 rhymed quatrains, collected in sets of 100 and one of 42. They are called “Centuries”.
Nostradamus Predictions That Came True
Centuries after Nostradamus died one of his more remarkable predictions that came true affected the world for the past 20 years. Nostradamus is believed to have predicted the 9/11 attacks in remarkable clarity. Of course, the dates are a bit off, but it’s been interpreted to believe that in one quatrain the ‘two great rocks was referring to the war between the US and terrorism. The volcanic fire from the center of the earth is believed to be a reference to the Twin Towers burning down and collapsing. Small errors have occurred, like being 2 years off the mark, and these are what doubters or disbelievers have used to discredit his predictions.
‘Volcanic fire from the center of the earth Will cause trembling around the new city: Two great rocks will make war for a long time. Then Arethusa will redden a new river. In the year 1999, in the seventh month, From the sky will come the great King of Terror, Bringing back to life the great King of the Mongols Before and after, Mars to reign by good fortune.’
— Prophecies de Nostradamus
Other predictions that people believe came true were events like:
The French Revolution
Hitler and World War II
The Death of Princess Diana
The Atomic Bomb
The Moon Landing
John F. Kennedy Assassination/Robert Kennedy Assassination
The London Fire of 66
The Death of King Henry the II
The Rise of Napoleon
So, What About His 2022 Predictions
The collapse of the US dollar? According to Nostradamus, inflation will spiral out of control this year and the US dollar will collapse, leaving gold, silver, and bitcoin considered as assets worth investing more money into.
The copies of gold and silver inflated,
which after the theft were thrown into the lake,
at the discovery that all is exhausted and dissipated by the debit.
All scripts and bonds will be wiped out.
— Nostradamus
Considering the current state of the US economy, it’s arguably sitting on the edge of a collapse, this one rings as possibly true.
Putin will be assassinated? Not as likely as the first one. Putin has, after all, survived several attempts on his life. However, Nostradamus may have prophesized that Vladimir Putin may die while sailing at sea, due to being struck by lightning.
France to be struck by a huge hurricane in 2022? We are living during a global climate emergency and virtually every part of the globe has reported unprecedented weather patterns in the past decade. So, maybe.
Artificial Intelligence will attack the human race? Well, this brings up an interesting subject to think about. Could AI be on the verge of deciding that mankind, their creators, are intellectually inferior and subsequently destroy mankind? According to the laws of robotics, no. According to James Cameron, maybe. Hansen Robotics is aggressively readying for mass production of its’ updated models of robots, much like their famous Sophia model.
Will there be some sort of explosive event in the Mediterranean Sea, East of the Minorca Island? Well, it’s predicted that near the Minorca island, the sky will burst with a great explosion that will spread into the atmosphere as the result of testing a nuclear warhead or missile.
An asteroid shower will destroy the earth! That’s a real bummer to read from a guy that has had some luck predicting the future. Nostradamus is, after all, famous for his prophetic predictions.
Very near Auch, Lectoure, and Mirande
A great fire will fall from the sky for three nights.
The cause will appear both stupefying and marvelous
and shortly afterward there will be an earthquake.
— Nostradamus
Considering that we appear to be in the year of close calls with asteroids, some predicted to be as close as 100,000 miles, with chances of less than 1 in 5,000 to hit us, we might want to pay close attention to this one. Get those cave camping supplies together folks.
Two other predictions also include a devastating nuclear bomb that will explode in 2022 and in a year where Nostradamus predicts destruction, a 72 hour period of darkness will follow before peace.
Final Thoughts
Well, Nostradamus sure had a lot to say about 2022. I think that most of his predictions are interpreted to fit something that’s happened. Sure, he’s hit a few here and there, but with a little luck, and some foresight, anyone can manage ten out of 900. His percentage of hits is pretty low compared with his misses. That fact leaves me to wonder, why exactly he’s so famous? My vote, 2021 reigns supreme as the world's “suckiest” year. But, that’s my eternal optimism checking in for one more round of “It’s got to be better than last year.”
